Product Overview Phototheca is a desktop photo management application to organize, maintain and view thousands of digital photos. Phototheca makes it easy for photographers, designers, photo studios and all other users to maintain galleries and organize their photos in albums, keep them in safe, track pictures in calendar, organize pictures event wise, maintain timeline and share photos on social media. Struggles of a professional photographer Photographers struggle when it comes to maintain thousands of photos related to the events they cover, it can be wedding, a birthday party or a farewell party. It is hard to transfer all photos from camera memory into your computer and maintain folders. Real struggle is when you have to: Track Duplicates Find a Specific Photo or Album Photos taken on a particular date. Phototheca is a life saver when your client comes and asks for his photos taken by you in the march of last year as you do not have to spend time searching for you client s photos by going deep into your memory card s photo collection. Phototheca provides solution Phototheca has lessened your struggle by providing solutions to all of your problems. It saves your time and maintains your work. Duplicates: It detects duplicates and presents them in a separate Duplicates folder so that you may remove duplicates and keep only one copy. Tag Keywords to your albums and videos: : You can add your own customized keyword to your albums, photos and videos so that later on you do not have to think of a word to search. Search with keywords: Search your photos and videos by album name, folder name and keywords you tagged to your photos and videos. Track photos by date, month or a year: Phototheca organizes your photos by date, month and year when you imported them. To keep track of your photos in calendar was never this easy. You just have to go to the year, then month and then date to view all your photos taken in a specific period of time. Features Phototheca has vast variety of features that lessen your effort and time consumption. 1. Import Photos and Videos ios Devices: iphone and ipad users can import photos and videos. No matter how heavy the picture quality is Phototheca can manage it very well. Other devices: You can import from local drives, USB sticks, digital cameras and smart phones. Memory Cards: No matters how much memory it is, you can import stream of photos and videos from memory cards, flash cards or SD cards. Network Shares: Import from network shares. Now you can import photos from another computer; there is an option to choose whether or not you want to copy files from network shares. 2. Import with Intelligence Handle RAW Images: Phototheca provides the solution of handling and reproducing RAW file formats with best quality once imported. You just have to install working codec. If you are Windows 10, Window 8.1 or Windows 8 users you do not have to install codecs as your system has built in WIC (Windows Imaging Component) codes to decode different RAW formats. You just have to keep your system updated. Now you can take RAW photos because Phototheca is here to take care of it. Formats Types: It supports almost all other formats of photos and videos. Auto Update: If you have imported a folder from your system to an Album in Phototheca, it will update your album in Phototheca each time that imported folder is updated in your system. It detects and smartly tracks the changes in folder and applies those changes equally in your album in Phototheca. If a new photo is added, Phototheca will locate it in your system and will add it to your album. In short it lessens your effort to update both folder and album. 3. Instant Search of photos Search photos by keywords, titles, album names, event names and folder names. Searching in Phototheca is flexible and lets you find your search in few seconds. There are different kinds of searches Phototheca provides: Search by a single word: For instance type Animal and all Events, Albums, Folder and images that have Animal in a title, description or in keywords will appear in search results. Search by multiple keywords: Insert multiple words separated by comma e.g. Flowers, Animals, Cakes and press Enter; Phototheca will look for all three words and this will reflect in search results. Exclude Photos from Search: You can also exclude photos from your search results by using exclamation mark i.e.! before keyword you are using for search. For example, if you search Flowers,!Red, search results will show all photos that have word Flowers associated except photo to that you have assigned keyword Red. Search by a year: Type the year e.g. 2013 to view all respective photos of year 2013 in search results. Ratings search: Enter star sign (*) from 1 to 5 to find photos with corresponding rating. For example, **** will show all photos with rating of 4 stars in search results. Use symbols > and < to get photos with rating greater or less than a value, e.g. >** will give all photos with rating greater than 2 stars. Combine them with [] to join results, e.g. [>*, <*****] will give all photos that have rating greater than one star and less than five stars. 4. Photo Viewing Utilities You can view photos in following views: Simple Grid View: By default, all albums, folders and events are in grid view. You can scroll to view hundreds of photos tiles in one view. Calendar View: Calendar allows you to view your photos organized by date, month and year. You can switch between days, months and years to view photos in a specific period of time. Select the desired date, month or year to get photos accordingly. Timeline View: Timeline lets you view photos in grid but for that you have to select specific time bar from time frame. 5. Share Photos on Web Phototheca lets you share photos directly to multiple platforms from the application: Facebook: Connect your Facebook account to Phototheca in to order to upload albums and post photos to your wall. Select the photo, click the Facebook icon and then click publish; it is that simple. Phototheca lets you control the privacy and size of your photo before posting. You can also set album name if uploading to a new album. Moreover, you can change Facebook account as well. Phototheca backs and maintains all shared pictures in Facebook folder so that you can keep track of shared photos. Lunarship Software 2017 5
Google photos: Phototheca lets you upload selected photos, albums and events to Google photos. Connect Phototheca to your Google account and upload as many pictures as you want. Phototheca lets you choose privacy and size of you photos before sharing. Moreover, you can set album name. Phototheca also maintains a separate collection of all shared photos on Google so that you can easily track which pictures are uploaded. Flickr: Likewise on Facebook and Google photos, you can upload and share photos to Flicker. Phototheca asks you if you want to publish to a new set or publish to photo stream in your Flicker account. Flicker users can also set privacy and photo size before sharing. Email: You can email hundreds of photos from Phototheca to the Microsoft account connected to your personal computer directly; all you have to do is to mention subject of your email as Phototheca asks for it. Twitter: Like other social media options, you can upload photos to your Twitter account as well. Authenticate and connect to Phototheca to start uploading and sharing. 6. An event can also be converted into an album and put in safe. Folders: Folders in Phototheca are same like folders in your computer. Create them, name them and then populate them. Albums: Phototheca provides you with three following kinds of albums, each with a unique color: Live Album: This album tracks contents of folder or network shares from where you have imported photos and videos. If a new photo is added to those folders then Phototheca updates and populates its album in real time. Moreover, if photos have been edited in the folders of your system, Phototheca will track and recognize changes and gets updated in real time. Smart Album: This is an automatically populated album based on a set of certain conditions. At the time of creating album, you set a search query. There are 10 properties and 6 conditions that can be combined and used for search. Simple Album: Albums are collection of photos which have no time frame. You can populate and update albums manually to collect photos of specific subjects in one place; it does not matter when those photos were taken. 7. Photo Tagging and Titles Tagging with Keywords: Keywords appear in keyword panel. Keywords are the words that come in your mind first when you think of a certain thing. You can tag single or multiple photos with one or more customized keywords. Keywords can also be removed. Tagging a photo with keyword eases your search for a photo from thousands of photos. So now you do not have to memorize the captions. Caption your Photo: You can add title to your photos and albums. Titles can be edited or changed. Photos can also be searched by title name. Description: You can also add detailed description to your photos from information panel. Photos can also be searched by words in description. 8. Duplicates Detection: Phototheca detects all duplicate photos in a photo library and collects them in a separate Duplicates folder. 9. Keep Your Photos in Safe If your computer is used by other people as well and you have a doubt that they might accidentally see your personal photos then Phototheca is here to help you out. Phototheca lets you keep your photos and albums inside a password protected safe in a separate Protected library. All you have to do while putting photos in safe is setting safe name and its password. Protected photos are removed from all albums and folders after putting in safe. In Protected library, you can access them by entering the correct password asked by the safe. 10. Viewing Utilities Zoom in and Zoom out: Zoom in and Zoom out slider lets you smoothly control the detailed (maximized) and thumbnail view (minimized) of photos. Lunarship Software 2017 8
Zoomed out View Zoomed in View Full Screen Mode: You can switch to full screen mode to avoid distractions. This feature lets you utilize every inch of your display to see and focus just your photos. Touch UI: This feature of Phototheca lets you use application in a seamless way. With this feature you can switch to touch UI. You can explore all albums and events in just few taps with your fingers. Slideshow: Run slideshow to view your photos one by one, you can also setup a pause to make the show more relaxed and enjoyable. All flagged photos can be seen in a separate Flagged folder in Phototheca. Flag can be dropped to remove a photo from Flagged folder. Open in: With this feature you can open your photos in Microsoft Word, Any Browser, Paint and WordPad. Rotate: With this feature you can simply select a photo and rotate it left or right. Information Panel: Information panel shows information of an album or a photo including For a Photo: Resolution of a photo File Format Size Rating: Select and rate your photo from information panel. Set as Wallpaper: This feature lets you set selected photo as your desktop s wallpaper. Print: Phototheca also provides the facility to print selected photo. This interesting feature plus allows you to convert your photos from soft form to hard form. Sort Photos: Sort your photos by following: By camera By Rating By Date By Title By Keyword Ascending order Descending order Reset Time stamp: Fix incorrect time stamps due to missed camera setup. This feature helps you to do a time correction for multiple images in one go. Last three Months: View photos imported in last three months. Last Import: View recently imported photos. Export: Export feature lets you export photos and albums to another place. Find in your system: Find feature helps you to find selected photo in your system.
