In addition to using standard metal clay techniques, Hadar Jacobson's "hot-riveting" technique will be introduced as a means of joining the copper and silver clay elements. Since copper clay can easily interfere with the proper firing of silver clay (and vice-versa), it is extremely important to keep separate sets of clay-forming tools for copper clay and silver clay. Each student will need to bring their own basic copper clay tool kit and basic silver clay tool kit, with dedicated sets of progressive-grit sanding sponges for each kit, along with at least 20-grams of low-fire silver clay.
