CONTACT: Donna Miskend dmiskend@gmail.com CBIG EXHIBITION 2012 MOTHER GOOSE: TRADITIONAL AND TWISTED (title may change) Illustrations by the Children s Book Illustrator Group Illustrations based on the Mother Goose stories - traditional, as well as twisted - new interpretations of the stories sometimes with unexpected results. In contrast to the traditional versions, work visually answers such questions as was Humpty Dumpty pushed off the wall, etc. for a twist on the classic tale. Consider all age groups. The recently published 2011 book Nursery Rhyme Comics: 50 Timeless Rhymes from 50 Celebrated Cartoonists is not only an example of twisted, but is geared for ages 3 and up though to me much of the text is for the older ages. The story text, original or your own version that inspired the illustrations will be included in the wall information.
