FAQs Where do I go to complete the contract? The contract link will be in your Resident Portal (https://hmsweb.housing.k-state.edu/residentportal). The same location you did your Residence Hall application. When will the contract be available? November 1, 2017 beginning at 9AM. Is there a deadline to complete the contract? No. There is no deadline. However, the date and time you complete your contract determines your place in line for your room selection. Do I need to list my room and hall preferences on the contract? No. We no longer ask for room and hall preferences. The student will actually select the specific hall and room type of choice in May during the room selection process. I don t have a roommate now, does that matter? No. You can add a roommate at any time. We highly recommend that you have a confirmed roommate prior to the room selection process in May, but it is not necessary before that time.

FAQs At minimum what will I need to answer on the contract? What meal plan you want: All Access or Any 14 Do you smoke or use other tobacco products? Select Yes or No Do you object to living with roommate(s) who smoke or use other tobacco products? Select Yes or No Do you agree to the terms and conditions of the contract? Check the box Have you ever entered a guilty plea or been convicted of a felony? Check Yes or No Anything else I should know? All of your answers on the contract can be edited at a later date. Making changes to your contract on a later date will NOT change your contract submission date and time (aka your place in line for room select). We recommend that you make the required selections on November 1 and then go back and edit your contract with your final answers on a later date at your leisure. If you don t agree to the terms and conditions or change your mind about K-State, you can cancel the contract and receive a full refund of your contract down payment up until June 1, 2018.

This is what you should see in your Resident Portal if you have completed the August 2018 to May 2019 Residence Hall application. You will see the message that the contract will be available on November 1, 9:00AM

At 9:00AM on November 1, the message will turn in to a link to complete the Residential Contract. Click Here
