About the Exhibition The 13 th international Pharmtech exhibition was held 22-25 November 2011 in Moscow at the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre. The event was organised by ITE Group, which holds a leading position in the Russian exhibition market. Pharmtech is currently the only show in Russia and the CIS dedicated to pharmaceutical production: substances, raw materials, equipment, packaging, turnkey projects, clinical trials and lab equipment. Pharmtech presents the entire process of pharmaceutical production, from the development of substances and quality control of raw materials to the transportation and storage of medicines and recruitment of staff in Russia and the CIS. Exhibitor s innovative solutions For the first time, Pharmtech focused the attention of industry professionals on innovative pharmaceutical production solutions, which were presented in a special section entitled Company Innovations. The companies showcasing their innovations included Rolstech, PharmTech Holding, Extract Technology (ETL), Silverson Machines Ltd, Russell Finex Ltd, Norden Machinery AB, MAR and others.
Pharmtechprom Forum The 6 th international Pharmtech forum was held 23-24 November; the forum was attended by representatives from chemical and pharmaceutical companies from Russia and the CIS, leading European producers of raw materials, packaging and equipment as well as industry experts and analysts.
This year the Forum presented a new session Process technologies for chemistry and pharmaceuticals, which accompanied the forum s traditional sessions Excipients and raw materials for pharmaceutical production, Equipment and technologies for pharmaceutical production and Packaging materials. The new session examined the history and current status of the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) in the Russian Federation, the experience of API production, development plans, equipment and technologies for chemical and thermal processes in the pharmaceutical industry. In 2011, 450 professionals from the pharmaceutical industry attended the forum.
