It is acceptable that solder links vary from ± position with regard to the table above. If the dynamometer is not fitted with a standard Magtrol Load Cell, solder links have to be configu as per comparable load cell sensitivity in the above table. When delive from the factory with a dynamometer, the TSC 0 will be configu and matched with the dynamometer prior to delivery and labeled accordingly.
User s Manual Magtrol TSC 0 Torque/Speed Conditioner.0 Calibration - TSC 0 with dynamometer Internal groove for use of gauged weight in Newton [N] External groove for use of gauged weight in kilograms [kg] Figure 6. WB/PB Dynamometer with Calibration Arm. Make sure that the solder link configuration is completed according to the table in Section.0.. Connect the TSC 0 to the dynamometer and to the DSP7000 controller.. Mount both sides of the calibration arm according to Figure 6.. Connect a voltmeter (multimeter # ) between TP ( + ) and TP ( - ). Signal provided by the TSC 0: 0± VDC. Connect a voltmeter (multimeter # ) between terminals (IN-) and (IN+ ) of connector J. Signal provided by the load cell is according to the table in Section.0 Configuration - Solder Links. 6. Switch ON the DSP7000. 7. Configure the DSP7000 as follows: Display Unit = Nm Scale Factor = According to specifications of the dynamometer to be calibrated. 8. Adjust ZERO potentiometer until it reads 0 VDC (± mv) (multimeter # ). Signal provided by the load cell should be: 0 mv (multimeter # ) 9. Apply 00% of the nominal load on the positive side. 0. Check if the adjustment is possible from.7 VDC up to. VDC with CW. If.7 VDC cannot be reached because it is not possible to decrease the signal to that value, one solder link should be removed. On the contrary, if.7 VDC cannot be reached by increasing the signal, one solder link should be added.. Adjust CW until it reads (#) +.000 VDC (± mv) (multimeter # ). Signal provided by the load cell should be according to the table in Section.0 (multimeter # ). Set the overload nut in order to make the signal decrease (+.9 VDC). Apply 00% of the nominal load and set the overload nut to + 7. VDC (± 00 mv) (multimeter # ).
Magtrol TSC 0 Torque/Speed Conditioner User s Manual. Unload to 00% and check if it still reads +.000 VDC (± mv) (multimeter # ).. Unload completely. The signal should be 0 VDC (± 0 mv) (multimeter # ).. Apply 00% of the nominal load on the negative side. 6. Adjust CCW until it reads (#) -.000 VDC (± mv). Signal provided by the load cell should be according to the table in Section.0 (multimeter # ). 7. Set the overload nut in order to make the signal decrease (-.9 VDC ) 8. Apply 00% of the nominal value and set the overload nut to - 7. V (± 00 mv). 9. Unload to 00% and check if it still reads -.000 V (± mv). 0. Unload completely. It should read 0 V (± 0 mv). If the system does not include a DSP7000 Dynamometer Controller, connect the TSC 0 to the Power Supply according to the J connector pin set up (see Figure 7) and follow the above calibration procedure. 7 6 0 9 8 FOR TORQUE MEASURE. + VDC (yel). ± VDC COM (yel/blk) (analog common). ± VDC COM (yel/blk) (analog common) 6. - VDC (gy) FOR SPEED MEASURE 7. + VDC () 8. +.0 VDC COM (digital common) Figure 7.
