The flexible, powerful WaveReady Reconfigurable Optical Add/Drop Multiplexer (ROADM) node wavelength switching and channel grooming solution enables wavelength-agile dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) optical networks. Leveraging the industry-leading Lumentum wavelength selective switch (WSS) and optical channel monitoring (OCM) technology, the WaveReady ROADM uses advanced microelectromechanical system (MEMS) technology to enable flexible wavelength planning in DWDM systems. It also provides the capability to dynamically manage add/drop and pass-through optical power levels to compensate for individual channel degradation, amplifier gain tilt, or broadband loss changes. The WaveReady ROADM can be managed remotely via TL1, SNMP, or through the WaveReady Node Manager GUI platform and supports all WaveReady DWDM transponder and amplifier products.
