That is, no obstacle exists between them. The root AP and leaf AP set up a WDS line on the 5 GHz frequency band. The root AP and leaf AP models must be the same, and both use 5 GHz directional antennas. A high gain is required in a longer distance (up to 10 km). In actual projects, it is recommended that one root AP be connected to a maximum of three leaf APs. The link setup rate depends on the distance between the root AP and leaf AP, antenna gains, and AP radios. 3
