Annular Blowout Preventers Ram Blowout Preventers The invention of the blowout preventer was an industry first. Now, more than 70 years later, we offer a complete product line to match a broad range of operating requirements. Our annulars are best known for their exceptional ability to handle extreme pressures and temperature, both on the surface and subsea. Our ram BOPs protect personnel and equipment by reliably stopping unexpected surges of oil, gas and drilling mud from the well bore. For surface and subsea operation, they can seal the annulus around drill pipe, casing or tubing, or they can shear the drill string. "Smart" versions of the conventional and compact rams can include instrumentation to sense pressure, temperature and incremental ram position. GK The GK annular is the definitive field-proven BOP demonstrating world-class dependability and quality for over 50 years. It is ideal for surface applications both on land and offshore platforms, with pressure capabilities up to 20,000 psi. Compact Ram The ram BOP delivers high performance in subsea applications with significant weight and height limitations. Its pressure capabilities range up to 15,000 psi, and it has passed API temperature tests to 500º F using fixed-bore rams. GL The GL packing unit is specially molded with two different styles of inserts to reduce closing volume and increase closing cycles. It is available in bore sizes/pressure ratings of 18¾" 5,000 psi and 21 ¼" 5,000 psi. Conventional Ram For high performance on the surface and subsea, our conventional rams are available in bore sizes from 7 1 16" to 21¼" with pressure capabilities from 2,000 to 20,000 psi. GX /GXS This industry-leading packing unit has provided continuous service for as long as a year, has passed the API pressure test at 270ºF, and has held pressure in the field after 328 closing cycles plue stripping. Its pressure capabilities range up to 15,000 psi. Annu-Flex Our Annu-Flex combines either a single or dual subsea GX annular blowout preventer with a maintenance-free, flexible underwater riser joint. Together, the BOP head/ flex joint combination reduces overall stack height and requires fewer stack connections. Quik-Loq The innovative Boltless design permits safe ram and operator changes within minutes allowing nearly continuous drilling operations. It is available in bore sizes of 135 8" and 18¾" with working pressure up to 15,000 psi. Sentry Workover Designed specifically to simplify workovers, the Sentry is short and light to fit smaller drill rigs. Its bore size is 17 1 16" and has pressure ratings of 3,000 and 5,000 psi. 6 7

Control Systems Diverters GE Oil & Gas manufactures blowout preventer control systems that lead the industry in reliability, functionality and versatility. With a strong focus on the critical deepwater environment, the Multiplex (MUX) BOP Control System has repeatedly set the benchmark for reliability and time spent on bottom. We also provide shallow-to-medium depth, piloted subsea systems and high-quality surface BOP control units for demanding applications in extreme climates. Our and VetcoGray diverters vent shallow gas flows safely from any bottom-founded or floating rig. Field-proven reliability stems from mechanical simplicity: one signal executes the diverting process, and an integral vent design eliminates extraneous valves and interconnections. Deepwater Multiplex Proven, industry-leading performance at water depths up to 12,500 ft. Our standard design has provided 364 days of continuous operation with only one stack pull due to hurricane evacuation. Flow Selector Used in diverter vent lines, flow selectors always keep the discharge line open and permit selection of a downwind line. They cannot be shut in. FSP These diverter/bop systems for bottom-supported offshore rigs incorporate integral venting. With no insert packer required, the diverter closes on an open hole or to handle tool and pressure tests. FS For floating drilling and platform rig service, with integral venting, the FS diverter loads through a 49½" or 60½" rotary table. It closes on an open hole with no insert packer required. Gas Handler Mounted below the telescopic joint to increase the capabilities of standard diverter systems, the GH is an annular closing device to handle gas bubble that expand as they ascend through a long riser. Mini-MUX The Mini-MUX Control System provides for quick surface/jack up stack changeout by using a pod-based system similar to subsea configurations Direct Piloted Increase your drilling uptime with our shallow-to-medium depth piolted hydraulic control system. MSP 21" 2000 psi Applicable to surface installations, this lightweight, compact MSP provides both diverter and annular BOP functionality. MSP 29" 500 psi and 30" 1000 psi Well suited for surface installations, the Hydril Pressure Control MSP has withstood the test of time, proving itself as both a diverter and an annular BOP. Surface System Our basic surface control systems have a wide range of features and options that make them suitable for any application. Riser Fill-Up Valve In case of unexpected evacuation of drilling fluids, this valve prevents collapse of the subsea riser by backfilling it with seawater. Seal-All Diverter Insert To ensure safety on floating drilling rigs during completion and workover operations, this insert easily seals on combinations of drill pipe and auxiliary lines in the well bore. 8 9

Diverters VetcoGray KFDS diverter For 25 years, the integrated VetcoGray KFDS diverter technology has provided field-proven protection from shallow gas blowouts. All support housing, overboard lines and associated valving are permanently installed on the rig structure, and the assembly is run and retrieved through the rotary table with the marine riser. Variable outlet sizes and orientations can accommodate virtually any rig design. Valving is external, allowing for rig design variation and valve/actuator preferences. VetcoGray KFDJ diverter system The VetcoGray KFDJ diverter system is used on platforms and jack-up rigs to protect against shallow gas kicks during drilling operations. It includes a full range of insert packer sizes, all of which use a J type running tool. In the event of a shallow gas kick, the diverter is energized to seal around the drill pipe and divert the gas safely overboard. It is available with a rotating insert which provides low pressure packoff on the kelly or drill pipe during drilling. Support housing allows installation of outlets up to 20 diameter to virtually any configuration. Mudline suspension hangers and bit sizes up to 27.41 (for 37 ½ rotaries) or 36.41 (for 49 ½ rotaries) can be run without removing the diverter assembly. Diverter, spacer spool and overshot packer each fit through a 37 ½ rotary table. Minimum bore through the standard support housing is 36 ½ ID for the 37 ½ rotary installation. Optional 37 ½ bore is available. Leading the way with simple designs and fully integrated packages VetcoGray KFDJ model J diverter Designed with all the field-proven features of our standard VetcoGray KFDJ diverter, but with fewer hydraulic connections, this version has a J lock between the diverter and the support housing. The simplified design has three hydraulic functions: energizing/venting the diverter packing, flowline seals and overshot packer. All support housing and diverter assembly components feature heavy wall construction for pressure containment and erosion protection during high-velocity, multi-phase flow. Insert packers are available in a full range of sizes and designs can be customized for specific applications. 10 11

Marine Riser Systems VetcoGray s marine riser systems are the most widely used and respected in the world. GE Oil & Gas is committed to partnering with our customers to deliver new technologies, breakthrough designs, and vital product support throughout the life of your riser system. VetcoGray MR-6E riser With this dog-style riser connection, the dogs in the box are driven into the profile in the pin for a fully preloaded connection. The design improves resistance to high tensile loads and large bending moments that are common with deepwater drilling operations. The VetcoGray MR-6E is lightweight, simple to operate and fast to run, rated for two million pounds (API 16R Class E) and offers low make-up torque (950 ft-lbs). MR-6E couplings can be used interchangeably with MR-6D couplings. MR-6H SE exploded view VetcoGray MR-6H SE riser This new VetcoGray riser is an award-winning, fully-automated and rated for 3.5 million pounds (API class H). Its innovative yet simple design utilizes our field-proven H-4 and MR technologies, and contains very few parts for optimized operation and maintenance. The highly preloaded coupling with efficient load path enables optional use of a metal seal for higher-pressure conditions. The modularized hydraulic handling spider providesall mechanisms required for make-up and break-out with minimal intervention personnel significantly improving make/break time and safety at the same time. The spider design allows quick change-out of key subassemblies during riser running operations. MR-6H SE assembled MR-6E pin MR-6H SE profile VetcoGray MR-6H riser adapter Building on the breakthrough VetcoGray MR-6H SE riser coupling and our proven dog-style riser design, this new adapter is self-contained and designed to be run without a spider. It greatly improves safety by eliminating the need to suspended personnel, heavy tools and bolts over the stack and moon pool during make-up. It avoids traditional clearance restrictions and significantly reduces the time to make/break the connection. 12 13

Marine Riser Systems VetcoGray HMF riser This is one of the most reliable and advanced marine riser systems in today s market. It has many years of proven success worldwide including drilling the current water depth well record of 10,011 feet in the Gulf of Mexico. The HMF is ideal for deepwater applications with high-load operating conditions. Its stepped diameter pin-and-box design simplifies engagement, even with severe vessel movement. It avoids loose parts to prevent bolt loss and potential thread damage, and has locking bolts preloaded above the rated coupling loads to extend fatigue life. The nose ring and choke/kill line stab subs can replaced in-field, and its hydraulic running/test tool facilitates quicker riser running times. Spiders and Gimbals The spider is used to support the riser string while the connections are being made or broken while the riser string is being run or retrieved. GE Oil & Gas makes a variety of styles, each compatible with specific types of riser connections. The Gimbal sits under the spider and acts as a shock absorber. VetcoGray MR-6E hydraulic spider This spider is designed specifically to support our MR-6E riser system. Its hydraulic support dogs extend to support the lower flange of the coupling while the riser connection is made or broken. Six hydraulic units move the cam ring up and down to make or break the connection. view of Class F, HMF riser flange pin VetcoGray Telescopic joint Our VetcoGray telescopic joint is available for MR-6E, MR-6H SE, and HMF riser systems. It offers maximum rated tensile load capacity in locked position and other features including hydraulic latch release for inner and outer barrels, dual split/solid packer elements, fixed or rotating integral tension rings, prepped for non-integral SDL, SDC and KT tension rings, and fluid or roller bearing prep. VetcoGray HMF spider This spider is used when running or retrieving HMF joints through the rotary table. Split gates, operated by hydrulic cylanders, support the riser string when the gates are in the closed and locked position. VetcoGray Gimbal The gimbal sits under the spider to provide shock absorption and assistance with the weight of the riser string. Our design also compensates for up to 6 degrees of offset whilte running or retrieving the riser string. 14 15

Tension rings The tension ring attaches to the telescopic joint and forms a termination point between the riser system and the tensioning system on a floating rig. It is used to pull and support tension to give the riser string more stability. GE Oil & Gas designs and manufactures a variety of tension rings proven to perform in the harsh environments of deepwater drilling. VetcoGray KT tension ring Attaching to the telescopic joint on a floating rig, the VetcoGray KT tension ring increases riser string stability while combining the functionality of a tension ring and termination joint. It simplifies running and retrieving the riser by eliminating makeup/breakout of lines and hydraulic hoses in the moon pool area. All choke, kill and auxiliary line terminations are permanently connected; orientation pins engage slots in the telescopic joint line termination housing for easy makeup; and riser tensioner lines are permanently attached to the KT ring to maintain proper permit vessel rotation relative to the riser string, and auxiliary line pins have differential seal areas to ensure fail-safe engagement. Optional fluid bearings minimize breakout torque. VetcoGray SDC tension ring VetcoGray SDC rings utilize a ball-joint connection with direct-line cylinder tensioners that are permanently attached for fast and safe attachment to the telescopic joint. A hinged split-ring design opens and closes around the telescopic joint. SDC rings are designed to be opened and moved out of the way for storage while the tensioning cylinders remain attached. An optional KT-style termination ring can be utilized with the SDC tension ring. VetcoGray SDL and SLS rings With both these ring models, riser tensioner lines remain attached and properly spaced at all times. Both rings use pad eyes for line connection, have permanently connected hydraulic piping for lockdown/storage dogs, and enable the telescopic joint to be run and pulled through rotary table without disconnecting the tensioner. When not in use, the the SDL/SLS rings lock and store to a mating profile on the bottom of the diverter support housing for convenient, orderly storage. Connectors GE Oil & Gas VetcoGray connectors are the trusted industry standard for subsea wellhead and bop connections. More than two-thirds of the global floating rig fleet use VetcoGray connectors. Our light weight, smaller footprint, robust connectors use our industry renowned metal gasket sealing technology designed to withstand internal pressures to 15,000 psi and temperatures to 350º F making them the preferred choice for extreme environment drilling applications. VetcoGray H-4 hydraulic subsea connector family The VetcoGray H-4 family of subsea connectors has been in service in every type of offshore environment since 1964. All our H-4s are hydraulically operated with metal-to-metal sealing and Inconel inlay for corrosion resistance and damage protection. They feature a high-strength connection via the 355 circumferential dog-ring locking mechanism that uniformly distributes bending and tensile loads; primary and secondary hydraulic circuits, generating 25% more releasing force than locking force; and 45 dog profile to ensure passive retraction of locking dog segments with overpull. VetcoGray Single flex joint Our VetcoGray single flex joint is installed in the Lower Marine Riser Package (LMRP) to allow angular deflection up to 10 degrees in the lower portion of the riser string. The combination of elastomeric bearing and seal unit give it flexibility and the capacity for internal pressure containment of up to 3,000 psi. It provides up to 2 million lbs of tensile load capacity, is rated for H 2S service and oil-based drilling mud. It does not require pressure balance or lubrication systems. The gasket's coefficient of thermal expansion approximates that of the wellhead and the H-4 upper body.
