MASTER OF CEREMONIES Mr. Ahmad Alhendawi, UN Secretary-General s Envoy on Youth Ahmad Alhendawi of Jordan is the first-ever United Nations Secretary- General's Envoy on Youth. He assumed office in February 2013. Alhendawi previously worked as the Youth Policy Advisor in the League of Arab States and a Team Leader for the development of the World Bank- funded programme to the League of Arab States on institutional development to strengthen Arab youth policy and participation. Prior to this, he served as a Team Leader for the National Youth Policy Project in Iraq, a Youth Programme Associate at the Iraq office of the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), Emergency Programme Officer at the non-governmental organization Save the Children, and as a regional consultant supporting the Danish Youth Council s projects in the Middle East and North Africa. Born in 1984, Alhendawi holds a Master s degree in Advanced European and International relations, a diploma as Policy Officer in European and International Organizations from the Institut Européen in Nice, and a Bachelor s degree in computer information systems from the Al-Balqa Applied University in Jordan. OPENING Ms. Kelly T. Clements, Deputy High Commissioner for Refugees, UNHCR Clements, previously Deputy Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM) in the United States, assumed the duties of Deputy High Commissioner for Refugees at UNHCR on July 2015. Clements had been Deputy Assistant Secretary of State since 2010, with responsibility for humanitarian issues in Asia and the Middle East. She previously led PRM s Office of Policy and Resource Planning, where she oversaw the Bureau s strategic planning, policy development and financial resources to protect and assist refugees, conflict victims and vulnerable migrants worldwide. She also served as Acting Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Lebanon during 2014. Clements has been closely involved with refugee and displacement issues throughout her 25-year career, including a secondment from the US Government to UNHCR in Bangladesh in the 1990s. She is well known to many UNHCR staff.

KEYNOTE ADDRESS H.E. Mr. Mogens Lykketoft, President of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly and Co-Chair of the UN Summit for Refugees and Migrants On 15 June 2015, the United Nations General Assembly elected Mogens Lykketoft of Denmark to serve as the President of its seventieth session, which runs from September 2015 to September 2016. At the time of his election, Mr. Lykketoft was the Speaker (President) of the Danish Parliament, a position he has held since 2011. Mr. Lykketoft is an economist by training and a veteran parliamentarian and government minister. As chairman of the Social Democratic Party from 2002 to 2005, he was also the opposition leader in Parliament. A Cabinet Minister for a total of 11 years beginning in 1981, when he was Minister for Taxation Mr. Lykketoft served most recently as Foreign Minister, from 2000 to 2001. Earlier, as Finance Minister from 1993 to 2000, he spearheaded economic reforms that led to a rise in employment rates and a strengthened economy. SPECIAL REMARKS H.E. Mr. Moustapha Naite, Minister of Youth and Youth Employment, Guinea Born in Conakry in 1976, Mr. Naïté has served as Minister for Youth and Youth Employment since his appointment in 2014 by President Apha Conde. He holds a BA in civil engineering from Northeastern University and a Masters degree in economics from Tufts University in Massachusetts.Following his return to Guinea, he entered the private sector, establishing, among other, a successful information technology company. He entered the political world in 2010, first as senior communications official in the presidential party, Parti du Rassemblement du Peuple de Guinée (RPG), as party spokesperson, and later as senior official in the administration, until he was tapped by President Conde in 2014 for his present position. Throughout his career, Mr. Naïté has worked with issues concerning youth, having initiated several initiatives and organizations within the area as well as representing his country at international youth meetings.

Mr. Per Heggenes, Chief Executive Officer, IKEA Foundation Per Heggenes is the CEO of IKEA Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Swedish home furnishings company, IKEA. As CEO, Per sets and drives the Foundation s funding and innovation strategies, and is a tireless advocate for children living in some of the world s poorest communities. Since becoming the Foundation s first CEO in 2009, Per has presided over the Foundation s evolution into a global, grant-making philanthropy that funds programs in more than 35 countries. In 2012, Per was appointed to the UN Commission on Life-Saving Commodities for Women and Children by UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon, who created the commission to increase access to lifesaving medicines and health supplies for the world s most vulnerable people. Previously, Per was the Global Head of Corporate Affairs for the shipping and logistics company Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics. Before joining WWL, he was the UK President and CEO for the global public relations firm Burson- Marsteller and Co-CEO for Europe. He also held different global roles for Burson-Marsteller based in their New York headquarters. Per served in the Norwegian Air Force and graduated from the University of Augsburg in Germany with a Diplom Oekonom (MBA). ACTION AND COMMITMENTS Mr. Minoru Takada, Team Leader of Sustainable Energy, UN DESA Minoru Takada is Team Leader of Sustainable Energy at the Division for Sustainable Development, United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs in New York. Dr. Takada supports the Division's efforts in promoting the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, with a focus on Sustainable Development Goal 7 on Energy. Prior to this position, Dr. Takada spearheaded global outreach and partnership mobilization efforts of the Sustainable Energy for All initiative at the UN Executive Office of the Secretary-General. In this capacity, Mr. Takada led the Global Thematic Consultation on Energy in the Post-2015 Development Agenda and served as UN-Energy focal point on this issue. Previously, Dr. Takada served as Head of the Sustainable Energy Programme at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), where he was involved in policy and strategy development to address energy poverty challenges linking energy issues to income poverty, gender inequality and climate change. He has spearheaded policy analysis with many international organizations such as IEA, IIASA, UNDP, UNEP, UNFCCC, WHO, World Bank, Accenture and McKenzie. Dr. Takada has written widely on the issues of energy and development and taught a graduate course workshop at the Columbia University. He holds a PhD in renewable energy applications from the University of Mie in Japan, and a Masters in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Hokkaido, Japan.

Mr. Ben Good, Chief Executive Officer, Energy 4 Impact (on behalf of the Moving Energy Initiative) Ben Good is CEO at Energy 4 Impact. An engineer with 25 years experience in the renewable energy and utility sectors, he has undertaken a range of senior operational, commercial, financial, and corporate finance roles with various businesses and projects across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas. Ben joined Energy 4 Impact from D1 Oils plc, the UK-listed renewable energy business with interests in India and southern Africa, where he was CEO and Finance Director, and prior to that worked in worked in the nuclear decommissioning, infrastructure management and water sectors. He has a degree in Engineering, Economics and Management from Oxford University. Ms. Radha Muthiah, Chief Executive Officer, Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves Radha Muthiah is the Chief Executive Officer of the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves. Since joining the Alliance in 2011, Radha has developed and implemented a disciplined sector strategy that has put the Alliance ahead of target on its way to reaching the goal of 100 million households adopting clean cookstoves and fuels by 2020. She has more than 20 years of experience in leading operations for both nonprofit and for-profit organizations and is a passionate advocate for multi-sector collaboration as a means to solve systemic problems. Radha has made a deep personal and professional commitment to the promotion of global health and sustainable development through innovative and high-impact approaches. Before joining the Alliance, she served as the Vice President for Strategic Partnerships and Alliances at CARE International, USA. A key aspect of her work was to recognize and build upon areas of strength and synergy for CARE and its partners in order to meet mutual goals of eradicating poverty through the empowerment of women and girls. Radha first joined CARE as the Assistant Country Director in India. She has also worked at ICF International, the American Red Cross, Mercer Management Consulting, and the Council on Foreign Relations. She holds a bachelor s and a master's degree in economics from Tufts University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Stanford University.

Mr. Emmanuel Lagarrigue, Executive Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer, Schneider Electric Emmanuel Lagarrigue is the Chief Strategy Officer of Schneider Electric and a member of its Global Executive Committee. He works closely with the Chairman&CEO, the Board of Directors and his peers to define the company s development priorities. Emmanuel is also in charge of the Corporate Social Responsibility and the Government Affairs divisions. He also supervises several transformation projects impacting the company. Finally, he oversees Schneider Electric operations in South America. Emmanuel currently lives in the United States Prior to his current assignment, Emmanuel Lagarrigue has held multiple operational and general management positions within Schneider Electric in Europe, South America, Asia and the United States. Emmanuel graduated from IESE Business School in Barcelona, Spain and from ENSEEIHT in Toulouse, France. Paul Corrigan, Head of Corporate Finance & Mainstream Capital Paul heads up Mainstream s corporate finance team responsible for managing Company strategy and the funding of Mainstream s global activities principally through raising equity and debt amounts at the holding company level working with large international institutions such as Macquarie, Marubeni and Barclays and smaller retail or High Net Worth investors in Ireland and the UK. Paul joined Mainstream in 2008, working previously in IBI Corporate Finance and KPMG, qualifying as an Associate of both the Irish Taxation Institute and the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Paul holds a Master s degrees in Finance and Economics from the London School of Economics.
