OPERATING TEMPERATURE Do not expose this unit to excessive heat. This unit is designed to operate between 32 F and 104 F (0 C and 40 C). This unit may not function properly under extreme temperatures.

FRONT PANEL DESCRIPTIONS INPUT JACKS 1 2 HIGH INPUT jack This is a high impedence input jack. Connect the output of your guitar to the 1/4 input jack with a shielded guitar cable. Use this jack if you want a little more edge to your input. Note use only the High or the Low input, not both at the same time. LOW INPUT jack This is a low impedence input jack. Connect the output of your guitar to the 1/4 input jack with a shielded guitar cable. Use this jack if you want a little less edge to your input. Note use only the High or the Low input, not both at the same time. CLEAN CHANNEL 3 4 5 GAIN control This knob determines the amount of GAIN (or distortion) added to the clean signal. Turning the knob clockwise will add more GAIN to the signal. Turning the knob counter-clockwise will decrease the amount of GAIN added to the signal. LEVEL control This knob determines the LEVEL (or volume) of the CLEAN channel. Turning the knob clockwise will increase the LEVEL of the clean channel. Turning the knob counter-clockwise will decrease the LEVEL of the clean channel. CH SELECT Button /CLEAN & DIST. LEDs Channel Select button allows you to select between the CLEAN or the DISTORTION channel. When the CLEAN LED is ON (or lit) the CLEAN channel is active. When the DIST. LED is ON (or lit) the DIS- TORTION channel is active. DISTORTION CHANNEL 6 7 GAIN control This knob determines the amount of GAIN (or distortion) added to the signal in the distortion channel. Turning the knob clockwise will add more GAIN to the signal. Turning the knob counter-clockwise will decrease the amount of GAIN added to the signal. LEVEL control This knob determines the LEVEL (or volume) of the distortion channel. Turning the knob clockwise will increase the LEVEL of the distortion channel. Turning the knob counter-clockwise will decrease the LEVEL of the distortion channel.

EQUALIZATION CONTROLS 8 BASS control This knob controls the overall bass of both the CLEAN and DISTORTION channels. The BASS control boosts or cuts the amount of low frequencies, or bass sound in the signal. 9 10 11 MIDDLE control This knob controls the overall MIDDLE frequencies of both the CLEAN and DISTORTION channels. The MIDDLE control boosts or cuts the amount of mid-band frequencies present in the signal. TREBLE control This knob controls the overall TREBLE of both the CLEAN and DISTORTION channels. The TREBLE control boosts or cuts the amount of high frequencies present in the signal. PRESENCE control This knob controls the overall PRESENCE of both the CLEAN and DISTORTION channels. The PRES- ENCE will increase or decrease the definition of the notes being played. EFFECTS and CONTROLS 12 13 CHORUS button The Chorus button activates the stereo chorus. When the button is pushed in the Chorus is ON. When the button is out, the Chorus is OFF. CHORUS DEPTH control The Chorus Depth control adjusts the amount of modulation. Turning it clockwise increases the depth of modulation. Turning it counter-clockwise decreases the depth of modulation. 14 15 CHORUS RATE control The Chorus Rate control adjusts the speed of the modulation. Turning this control clockwise increases the speed. Turning it counter-clockwise decreases the speed. DELAY button The Delay button activates the digital delay. When the button is pushed in the Delay is ON. When the button is out, the Delay is OFF. 16 17 18 DELAY TIME control The Delay Time control adjusts the length of delay. Turning the control clockwise increases the length of the delay. Turning the control counter-clockwise decreases the length of the delay. DELAY REGEN (regeneration) control The Delay Regen (regeneration) control adjusts the number of repetitions of delay effect. Turning the control clockwise increases the number of repetitions. Turning the control counter-clockwise decreases the number of repetitions. DELAY MIX control The Delay Mix control adjusts the overall volume of the delay effect mixed in with the dry signal. Turning the control clockwise increases the volume/mix of the delay. Turning the control counter-clockwise decreases the volume/mix of the delay.

FRONT PANEL DESCRIPTIONS continued... 19 20 HEADPHONE jack Plugging your headphones into this jack disconnects the sound going to the speakers and allows you to practice in private. POWER switch Turns the amp ON and OFF. When the LED is lit, the amp is on. BACK PANEL DESCRIPTIONS 21 22 23 POWER CORD PLUG Using the supplied detachable power cord, plug the amplifier into any standard wall outlet. Please be sure to check your local wiring and voltage to make sure your amplifier is the proper voltage for your area of the world. Please follow all the precaution guidelines found in the front of this manual. When replacing the fuse, please be sure to replace the fuse with the specific fuse as stated on the chassis next to the power cord plug. A description on how to change the fuse is covered later in this manual. SPEAKER OUTPUT Jacks - Right & Left Used to connect additional speaker cabinets if desired. The V50D will drive a 4x12 and sounds awesome. Connect only one additional 8 ohm cabinet per jack. Do not connect more than one per jack or you will damage your amp! LINE OUT - Output Jacks - Right & Left These 1/4 output jacks provide a line level signal. This can allow you to plug into a recording device, power amplifier, speaker simulator, PA system, etc. The line output is not controlled by the master volume control. Please follow all manufacturer s instructions when plugging this product into any outboard device. FOOTSWITCH Jacks 24 25 FOOTSWITCH Input RFS1 Using a ROCKTRON RFS1 footswitch (sold separately) you can control your channel switching via a footswitch allowing you to switch between the CLEAN and DISTORTION channels. FOOTSWITCH Input RFS2 Using a ROCKTRON RFS2 footswitch and a stereo cord (both sold separately) you can turn both the CHORUS and DELAY effects ON and OFF. * Rocktron Rampage single (RFS1) and double (RFS2) footswitches are available and sold separately.

Fuse Replacement We recommend that you use an authorized repair person to change the fuse in this unit. To access the fuse, first power down the unit and unplug the cable from the wall outlet and the amplifier. Using a small screw driver, open the fuse tray by prying open the small tab as shown in the drawing above. Please note that the tray will not come all of the way out. Remove the old fuse and replace with a comparable new fuse and close the tray being sure that the tray snaps into position. You will find the information on the fuse used in the specifications section of this manual.
