If you are using the compressor on-site, the 0v version is most appropriate. ll STEP Which tank size is most appropriate? When choosing your tank size, just remember that the size of tank doesn t affect the volume of air delivery of the compressor but it WILL affect the amount the motor has to run to keep the tank full. lll STEP What extra features would be useful? The Bostitch range of compressors vary not just in size and output but also in features. If you need extras such as twin air outlets or a built-in tool & fastener tray make sure you choose the correct model. Recommended Tool Capacity Displayed with each compressor is a guide to the number of tools of a specific size that can be used with that model. Each colour represents a different tool size: S M L Small: BT8-E, SB-IN, SX88-E, 68B-E, TU-6-0K-E Medium: N66C--E, N6FNB-E, FN66-E, SB-HC0FN Large: F8WW-E, FPL-E, FPT-E, FPTSM-E, MCN0-E, MIIIFN, MIIIFS The number of tools suggested is for guidance only. It is applicable only to that tool size and does not account for a mixture of different tool sizes being used at the same time. If you are planning on using more than one tool from a compressor or you want to keep motor running noise to a minimum, choose a larger tank. Just remember that what you gain in tank size, you may lose with portability. llll STEP How many tools will be used at once? Calculating exactly how many tools a compressor will power at once involves a lot of variable factors such as the hardness of the wood, the type of fastener and, more fundamentally, what type of tool is being used.
