Ira Brett Greenspan, CRPC, CMFC Financial Advisor Vice President Ira Brett Greenspan, Vice President/ Wealth Advisor with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in Bethesda, Maryland, has been with the firm since 1997. Ira advises high net worth, non-profit and corporate clients, and encourages use of the firm s Consulting Services. Even before working for Morgan Stanley, Ira has been serving in clientoriented professions providing assistance to non-profits and members of the U.S. House of Representatives, Veterans Affairs Committee, Subcommittee on Compensation and Benefits. Ira served under the Chairmanship of Chairman G.V. Sonny Montgomery (D-MS) and Chairman Bob Stump (R-AZ). On the Veterans Affairs Committee, Ira acted as a liaison between the various Veterans groups and the members of the committee. Ira Greenspan s current position and responsibility on the team is to carry out our communications process. Quarterly conference calls, manager updates, interpretation of performance data and on-site visits are Ira s primary responsibilities. Ira is also responsible for periodic communication of new developments in the industry as well as Morgan Stanley Smith Barney research. Ira will communicate the latest data regarding these topics to clients. Ira will also be responsible for setting up the conference calls, coordinating the calendars of the various committee members and providing reports to clients in advance of all reviews. Ira graduated from The American University in Washington, D.C., with a Masters in Public Administration with a concentration on Public Finance and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Ira earned his Investment Consultant designation by attending the Wharton School in 2005. Ira is also a Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor (CMFC) and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC). These designations represent proficiency in the field of retirement planning and mutual fund analysis. Ira is also an active member of his community, enjoying recently his participation with the Brotherhood at Temple Beth Ami in Rockville, MD, The Greenspan Group 5
his past affiliation with the Citizen Advisory Group for the Germantown, MD, 5th District Police Department and is interested in photography. Ira lives in Boyds, Maryland, with his wife, Marlo, and two children, Leah (age 8) and Zachary (age 5). ira.greenspan@mssb.com 301-961-2640 Michael Rozofsky, CRPC, CFP Financial Advisor Associate Vice President Michael Rozofsky, Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF), Certified Financial PlannerTM (CFP), has been with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney for over 11 years, and immigrated to the United States from Moscow in 1987. He graduated from The George Washington University on a tennis scholarship where he studied Finance and International Business. Prior to that, he attended the prestigious Bullis School in Potomac, Maryland. Michael recently attended the Wharton School of Business Foundations and Endowments Program. His class was limited to 50 advisors from across the country and the main focus was to gain in-depth knowledge about advanced asset allocation techniques, investment policy formation and the endowment model. program was to explore the regulatory environment which includes the Uniform Prudent Management of Institutional Funds Act (UPMIFA) and the changing landscape for philanthropic foundations. Spending Rates, Fundraising and Socially Responsible Investing was also discussed in detail. Michael is a Certified Financial PlannerTM (CFP) and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF). The AIF is a designation that promotes fiduciary standards in managing money for foundations, endowments and nonprofits. It also shows best practices of transparency and accountability when dealing with money set aside for philanthropic purposes. As a Certified Financial Planner, Michael Rozofsky s current position and responsibilities include overseeing the investment policy formation, asset allocation implementation and risk management. As an Accredited Investment Fiduciary, Michael ensures that members on a board or clients are kept abreast of the latest developments of Fiduciary standards as outlined in UPMIFA. Michael conducts regular analysis to ensure proper diversification at all times, adherence to our fund objectives, and the use of prudent standards for selecting fund alternatives and the adequate monitoring of fund performance. In the past, Michael has served as an intern at Merrill Lynch, where he first developed his passion for portfolio management and investment analysis.
