A PIN diode and a preamplifier are assembled on a lead frame, he epoxy package acs as an IR filer. The demodulaed oupu signal can be direcly decoded by a microprocessor. The TSOP348.., TSOP322.. are compaible wih all common IR remoe conrol daa formas. The TSOP324.., TSOP344.. are opimized o suppress almos all spurious pulses from energy saving fluorescen lamps bu will also suppress some daa signals. SUITABLE DATA FORMAT These producs are designed o suppress spurious oupu pulses due o noise or disurbance signals. Daa and disurbance signals can be disinguished by he devices according o carrier frequency, burs lengh and envelope duy cycle. The daa signal should be close o he band-pass cener frequency (e.g. 38 khz) and fulfill he condiions in he able below. When a daa signal is applied o he IR receiver in he presence of a disurbance signal, he sensiiviy of he receiver is reduced o insure ha no spurious pulses are presen a he oupu. Some examples of disurbance signals which are suppressed are: DC ligh (e.g. from ungsen bulb or sunligh) 5 Coninuous signals a any frequency 692 Time (ms) Srongly or weakly modulaed noise from fluorescen lamps wih elecronic ballass (see figure 4 or figure 5) Fig. 4 - IR Signal from Fluorescen Lamp wih Low Modulaion IR Signal 5 2 IR Signal 692 5 5 2 Time (ms) Fig. 5 - IR Signal from Fluorescen Lamp wih High Modulaion TSOP322.., TSOP348..
