MR5.14.10 and MR10.6.10 MR5.14.10 for legacy radios MR10.6.10 for MTM5xxx mobiles. NO release for MTP3000/6000 Overview of some of the new features in MR5.14.10 and MR10.6.10 in the following slides
MTM5000 SERIES NEW BANDS 1) MTM5200/5400/5500 Terminals support the following new frequencies for both TMO and DMO* operations. 410 470 MHz 806 870 MHz *DMO 851MHz to 870MHz 2) Full SW feature set of the MR10.6.10 and TEDS 4) CPS supports new Codeplug models for MTM5200/MTM5400/MTM5500 410-470 MHZ MTM5200/MTM5400/MTM5500 806-870 MHZ No upgrade/downgrage support for new codeplug models in MR10.6.10 (as this is the first release in which these bands are available) Operational Benefits Enables easy migration from MTM800E to MTM5000 series mobile terminals for people in regions using 440 MHz and 800MHz Bands
TEDS: TETRA ENHANCED DATA TEDS adds a number of new radio carriers offering up to 10x MSPD data speeds. The new radio carriers can be used as packet data channels, i.e. traffic channels The control channel function remains unchanged on the existing TETRA 1 control channel. The increased speed is achieved by using more advanced modulation and coding techniques, and by using wider RF channels. An Icon displays the state of the data connection Operational Benefits Enables mission critical information to reach team members, in TEDS enabled locations, faster.
RAIL CERTIFICATION MTM 5000 Rail Certification achieved for all MTM5000 Models, Configurations and Bandwidths MTM5200, MTM5400 and MTM5500 350MHz, 380MHz, 450MHz and 800MHz EN50121.x.x Electromagnetic compatibility EN50155.x.x Environmental Updated Declaration of Conformity (DoC) to be issued by 25 March alongside introduction of 450 and 800MHz rebands. Operational Benefits Enables use of standard off the shelf Mobile within Rail environment. Supports 3 rd Party Rail Solution providers. Provides replacement to Milan (MTM800 and MTM800E).
MAN DOWN ENHANCEMENTS CPS options allow. a) Staying as we are today: Man Down is either enabled or disabled. b) Following the Man Down setting prior to last power down; radio remembers last setting. c) Selecting the capability to set on or off Man Down remotely via SDS Remote Control. As a sub option the customer may select: Preventing the radio user activating or deactivating man-down Making the man-down menu option invisible Allowing allocation of the 'Man Down On/Off' function to any of the SIX One Touch Buttons. Operational Benefits Enables organisations to enhance the safety of their employees and to reduce the number of false alarms.

RADIO REMOTE CONTROL
SDS REMOTE CONTROL All Terminals support receiving and reacting to SDS messages that contain AT commands to modify/control the terminal by authorised senders. These commands can include read/change the following Audio volume setting Mode (TMO or DMO) Talkgroup Scanning and scan list And read the following GPS location Base station quality And Reset the radio Clear down a call in progress
USABILITY
COVERAGE IMPROVE SENSITIVITY ENSURE CONNECTIVITY CLASS LEADING RF PERFORMANCE BETTER COVERAGE IN BUILDINGS IN BLACK SPOTS Enabled by 2dB increase in RX Sensitivity 14% EXTRA RANGE
AUDIO MAKE SURE YOU HEAR, AND ARE HEARD 2 WATT AUDIO POWER CLASS LEADING AUDIO Outstanding audio in noisy environments Easy to hear when worn on belt or held in hand With or without an accessory
HOWLING SUPPRESSION When two or more TETRA terminals are used in close proximity, audio feedback can result in loud howling in the receiving terminals. Howling suppression reduces this effect and allows users to remain in close proximity.
IMPRES ACCESSORY AUTO DETECTION When an approved accessory is connected to the terminal the appropriate audio profile is applied. For example this means that once an accessory is connected the agreed pre-set audio levels cannot be exceed.
10 AUDIO PROFILES The user can create and select up to 10 audio profiles. Saves time in the field, especially when changing between noisy and quiet environments and switching between accessories. BUT!
AUDIO PROFILES NOT NEEDED NOW! The new generation of 3000, and 6000 radios do not need Audio Profiles as the AGC maintains the volume at the right level in different noise environments.
GPS ON/OFF User can switch GPS Location on or off from the radio menu, if enabled via a codeplug setting When the user makes this change the controller is alerted. Even when the GPS is off, an Emergency call will still send GPS location. GPS On
