ICE H STRUCTURE GLASS FROM GLAS MARTE PRODUCT REPORT EXTERIOR / INTERIOR GLAZING
03 ICE H DRAWN BY NATURE Those who cast a glance at our ICE H glass are fascinated from the first moment. The glass material released from the surface leaves behind an interesting, unique, broken-up surface structure with a cool, but lively appearance. The glass conveys an arctic feel and is reminiscent of ice crystals that cover windows in winter. That is why we chose the name ICE H. With the help of a hundred-year-old processing technology and a new technological development, we have succeeded in adopting the ICE H product to today s market requirements and systematizing it to work with various construction designs. The structure of the glass follows its own laws of physics; it changes constantly, never staying the same. The building s texture, in particular, creates an animated look and feel that lends each room and every building front a unique appearance.
ICE H GIVES FAcADES A STRUCTURE ROHNER HARBOR FUSSACH Surrounded by sailing yachts, the Rohner harbor building in the Austrian town of Fussach dominates the harbor and is impressive due to its clear formal structure. Its unusual location in the middle of a nature reserve required an environmentally sensitive construction approach with regard to the building s structure and the materials used. Due to the translucent effect of ICE H, the glass allows a limited view to the façade s architecture that lies behind it. The building s exterior naturally plays with reflection of the waves from the water and conveys a certain liveliness.
05 Fine, matt white areas develop due to the larger chips and these areas lend the glass a noble, cool appearance. Fitting in with the surrounding nature, the vegetative shapes of ICE H make you think the pattern was taken from nature. As rich in various as the glass structure is, there is also the fascinating, diffuse, light-scattering effect that the building has. ICE H makes glass applications possible that the light diffusely distributes without the use of colors or other foreign products, thereby remaining true to glass as a material.light reflexes emerge in the image of the glass that vary in strength and are reinforced by the texture of the building. The play between light and shadow that looms behind the glass surface is at least as impressive as the look of the glass itself. Interior view of the building s shell
INSIDE APPLICATIONS FROM ICE H ICE H was especially developed for large-surface applications in facade construction and in glass construction. The glass provides particularly architectonic accents on the inside. 07 THE STRUCTURE UNIQUE BY NATURE ICE H 0 up to -40 It creates the most interesting exposition due to numerous matt-white surfaces and the most varying shells in the most diverse thicknesses, sizes and appearance. ICE H -10 The smoothest surface is developed here with ICE H -10. The smallest chips in the glass generate a very filigree appearance. ICE H -20 This configuration has somewhat larger chips compared to ICE H -10. This generates particularly fine, matt white areas that lend the glass a noble, cool appearance. THE SURFACE DESIGN JUST HOW YOU LIKE IT ICE H -30 This is an additional interim step on the scale of -10 to -40 and provides larger, matt white areas. ICE H -40 The large-scale shells have the most dramatic and animated effect in the ICE H -40 configuration. They inspire the imagination and each person looking at the building sees something entirely different in the matt glass areas. The configuration of the surfaces is as multifaceted as your imagination. For example, surface areas can be saved so that they are untreated and thereby clear and transparent. A decisive factor is that each glass is a unique specimen and that is why the structure of the glass is also always individual. Due to the various designs, additional varying light and shadow outlines emerge that loom behind the glass surface and highlight the special features of ICE H.
