EXAMPLE: LVC DELIVERY TO ITALIAN AIR FORCE M346 As live, Virtual Constructive simulation became more of a training reality, Leonardo (LEO) Aircraft Division delivered its capabilities to Italian Air Force at Galatina Airbase M346 L-V-C is now fully accepted/certified by the Italian Air Force and operational ready now LVC capabilities are providing real training benefits in terms of effectiveness and saving cost Improvements are ongoing to improve realism and enhance virtual reality based on our extensive experience on the LVC Asset as Pilot training component 11

LVC FIDELITY Fidelity Constraints: Each synthetic system has a finite fidelity generally related to: The ability to share a detailed status of each participant in real time, at an adequate update rate to satisfy the human in the loop sensor system The ability to visualize/obscure targets, with or without sensors The ability to correlate targets and geospatial representations The ability to engage targets including weapon aiming and scoring, a capability affected by all of the above.

DOME IN THE AIR To extend Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) capability enhancing the situation awareness of the Live element, the pilot in the aircraft in the air, on the HMD visor an high-fidelity graphics simulation of the Virtual and Constructive elements is displayed.
