OUR ACTIVITIES DREDGING Historically, dredging is EMCC s core activity and we are constantly improving our techniques with the goal of providing leading-edge solutions at each site. As a result of this depth of experience, we can undertake all types of dredging work. This expertise, together with the continuous development of our mechanical and hydraulic extraction equipment, enables us to meet the challenges in the projects we undertake. WATERWAY CONSTRUCTION EMCC is a leader in waterway construction. We handle all waterway-related work such as, dredging, rock removal, docks, landing stages, locks, dams, riverbank protection and under-river crossings. Protecting the environment is of the utmost importance to EMCC and it is for this reason that we are constantly developing new techniques, which take into account both the environment and waterway functionality. For example, fish runs, collection of floating debris and dredging spoil treatment. MARITIME CONSTRUCTION We offer our customers our know-how and high-quality expertise in all maritime infrastructure works such as dykes, docks and jetties. We execute all types of civil marine and port engineering work: pile driving and earth-moving works, embankment construction, rip-rap deployment, as well as the prefabrication and immersion of concrete bunkers and artificial blocks. Our piling and drilling equipment enables us to achieve large-diameter piles and we provide tailor-made solutions for a multitude of requirements.
ROCK REMOVAL Our teams are also specialised in mining and rock removal techniques in connection with channel and port deepening or construction. For work at sea and the most exposed sites we use several self-elevating platform swith drills and dipper dredger.s SEDIMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT EMCC offers a full range of pre-processing, dewatering and recovery solutions for dredging sediments. This full range of techniques enables us to offer a customised response to a range of sediment problems. We also commit to protecting ecosystems with floating waste collection systems and artificial reef installation, etc. UNDERWATER CONSTRUCTION EMCC s flexible and skilled underwater department can work on a vast array of activities at depths and in confined spaces. Given the significant experience and in-depth knowledge of procedures at depth, our divers can work in highly specific areas such as underwater structure inspection, underwater welding, and outfall installation.
ENGINEERING Our in-house Engineering department designs, creates and installs adapted technical solutions for each site. EQUIPMENT FLEET We have a large equipment fleet with over 250 floating units: excavation machines, pontoons and self-elevating platforms, barges and split barges, logistics equipment, drilling equipment for mining or foundations and piling equipment, etc. We have the capacity to be involved at all stages of our maritime and waterway construction projects. This allows us to offer our customers a full design and build service, including management and technical back-up for the duration of the works. We innovate constantly to improve our fleet s performance and productivity with the aim of constantly providing our teams with ever-improving and efficient equipment. RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT Our specialists develop cutting-edge technical solutions for on-site excellence. The latter are developed in line with safety standards and are environmentally friendly.
