THREE GENERATIONS...... ONE DNA. TORMATIC 1976 The time has come. With the Tormatic 3000 G/5500 operator we introduced a track with a C-profile Initially operated via set pre-programmed radio channels and afterwards by radio-operated remote control featuring channels that can be individually encoded. 1979 DORMA acquires 49 % of the company holdings. Five years later DORMA goes all in and takes over TORMATIC completely. 1985 WE HAVE BEEN WORKING WITH TORMATIC FOR YEARS ON A CONSISTENTLY INCREASING BASIS, NOT LEAST BECAUSE OF THE EXCELLENT, COLLEGIAL NATURE OF OUR WORK TOGETHER. We relocate entirely to Ennepetal, Germany where we expand our product portfolio with new operators such as the Tormatic GTA 510/520 and create a completely new design for our products. We conquer the market with additional hit products and new customers. 1988 The Tormatic GTA 540/550 is introduced as history s first garage door operator with a 24 volt operator unit and control. 1991 ÖZNUR CEBECI [ ITS Industrie Tore Service GmbH, Commercial Clerk ] Doors now shut very softly using the Soft-Stop automation of the GTA 540 E. From 1994 all of our operators are equipped with Soft-Start and Soft-Stop functions. 1997 This operator now comes equipped with a house guard system featuring a status display inside the residence which can show whether the door is open or closed. 2000 TORMATIC becomes an independent corporation headquartered in Dortmund, Germany. Four years later the company form is altered and renamed Novoferm tormatic GmbH, an affiliate of the Novoferm Group. 2013 Since 2013 our company has been dedicated to the Pure Drive Vision 2020 in line with our company philosophy, Pure Drive. This position stands for functionality, focus and personal customer care in its purest form and gives us an unmistakable identity. 04 / 05
