In the three years since, CenterState s Birmingham office has grown to twenty-three team members, with over 460 years of banking experience, and has expanded to include Wealth Management, Prepaid Card, and Business Development professionals. Bond Sales, Research, Strategy and Capital Markets Operations The Birmingham office opened with a core group of Investment professionals. The team managed over 200 relationships in an eight state footprint, providing sales services, safekeeping, bond accounting, asset/liability consulting, and federal funds programs and accommodations. Built around a consultative and team oriented approach, the group also brought a strong conviction in customer education to CenterState Bank, highlighted by a very successful recurring Bond School and several educational customer events. Birmingham Office continued from previous page Our sales and operations group had considered CenterState as family for many years, said Greg Rains, Senior Vice President Capital Markets. Our transition three years ago was seamless because senior management understood our business model. They responded to our needs and created an environment that set the stage for a series of unique events that were to follow. As a result we are now a larger family prepared to offer the most complete array of correspondent and investment services in the market today. Wealth Management Joe Keating, Executive Vice President, Chief Investment Officer and Head of Wealth Management, joined CenterState Bank and the Birmingham team in May 2010. CenterState s Wealth Management and Financial Advisory Partners deliver financial solutions for institutions and individuals, including business owners, professionals, families, foundations and financial institutions. Additionally, Joe is a frequent contributor to CNBC, The Wall Street Journal, and various media outlets across the nation. Since 1980, he has published commentary assessing economic and financial market trends in a quarterly Economic Outlook and monthly Investment Strategy Statement. Prepaid Card CenterState acquired the deposits and BINs of all prepaid programs of Prepaid Technologies from RBC Bank in April 2010. CenterState also hired the resources from RBC to support this program, with these resources based in the Birmingham office. Dedicated management for this growing area has subsequently been added in the Atlanta office. CenterState ranks in the top 20 issuers of prepaid cards in the U.S., with tremendous growth potential annually. The majority of the CenterState prepaid programs consist of corporately funded programs that include reward, incentive, gift, payroll, purchasing and specialty payment cards. Steve Young, CenterState s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer stated, We couldn t be more pleased with the results of our Birmingham office over the past three years. Our cultures and core values were very much aligned from the beginning. Thanks to their efforts and the support of our community bank customers, the Correspondent Division has continued to grow the quality of its people, products and services. We are appreciative of our history and accomplishments as we come to the end of another year, but we remain dedicated to earning your business in 2012. Greg Rains concluded, The first three years have been phenomenal and we look forward to many more to come!

C O R E VA LU E S Local Market Driven Our business structure is designed to value the unique character of the communities we serve and to encourage decision making by the banker that is closest to the action. Correspondent Division Education and Speaking Engagements CenterState Bank and the Correspondent Division have been active with speaking engagements and educational programs during the fall. Joe Keating, Executive Vice President, Chief Investment Officer and Head of Wealth Management, was a featured speaker at the Tennessee Bankers Association 2011 Independent Bankers Division Convention in October. Joe assessed the economy in his session Economic Update Present and Future. Also in October, Todd Patrick, Senior Vice President Capital Markets, served as the instructor during a two-day FMS (Financial Managers Society) event on Managing the Investment Portfolio. More than 35 financial institutions from across the nation were in attendance. Among several topics covered during the event, Todd reviewed the basics of portfolio composition and management and examined the latest investment instruments and strategies. In November, members of the Correspondent Division, including Greg Rains, Mark Tucker and Scott Carter, were instructors during a two-day CenterState Bond School held in Orlando, Florida. Over forty community bank board members, bankers, regulators and industry experts attended the event. CenterState created the Bond School to help community banks and their boards with a variety of bond-related issues. These include how to establish a culture for strategic management of a bond portfolio, how to address the demands of regulators, structure issues in the balance sheet, and profitability. During 2011 several members of our Capital Markets team coordinated and participated in educational events throughout the southeast, partnering with community banks and presenting timely investmentrelated topics to their management teams and other peer banks. The Correspondent Division is committed to continuing this educational outreach in 2012. For more information about these opportunities please contact your CenterState Investments Salesperson or your Business Development Officer.
