P A G E 2 President s Message Fall 2015 Greetings! As we wind down another year, don t forget to renew your PSCA membership before December 31 st. All current members should have received a form in the recent packet from Karen Majka. If you need another form, you can find one at www.pyrshepclub.com on the Club Info page. Good luck to those attending Eukanuba! The PSCA is sponsoring medallions to the breed, obedience, and agility winners. I will be setting up the Meet the Breed booth and could use some people with their Pyr Sheps to offer assistance for an hour or two on Saturday and Sunday. Even if you can t commit to a block of time, be sure to stop by the booth and meet some of your fellow club members. Please email me at Kathy@burgerhaus.net to let me know of your availability, or just drop by as you can. It s a great time to educate the public about our wonderful breed. As always, your help is appreciated! Plans are well underway for our 2016 National Specialty in Concord, NC. From what I am hearing, many of you are making your plans to attend. Sue Snyder is chairing this event and a Facebook page (2016 Pyrenean Shepherd National Specialty) has been set up for the latest information and to answer your questions. Wishing you joy in the upcoming holidays! Kathy

P A G E 5 CLUB NEWS 2016 PSCA AGILITY TRIALS Hi Everyone, Just a head's up to save the date for the 2016 PSCA AKC Agility trial. It will be held June 17-19, 2016 at the Soccer SportsPlex in North Olmsted, OH. This is the same location as the 2015 trials and is on the southwest side of Cleveland. It has turf footing, A/C, on-site RV parking, and snack bar. We will have goody bags, prizes for Top Pyr Shep Std/JWW each day and a prize for the Top Pyr Shep of the 3 day weekend!! More prizes will be announced closer to the date! The Red Roof in Westlake, OH is where several PSCA members stayed last time and it's just a few minutes from the shores of Lake Erie. Entries open April 15, 2016 (first received so enter promptly) and close on May 27, 2016. Judges are Mary Mullin and Sally Gichner. We will have Std, JWW, FAST and T2B. I will need volunteers for the Trial Committee. Those on the committee get "paid" by the Trial Superintendent. It's about $6 a day and the "money" can be used for vendors at the show, food at the snackbar, or saved for entries at a future trial put on by the same Superintendent. We need a minimum of 5 people per day so let me know if you'd like to help as soon as possible. Three of the people need to be on site at any time and the others just need to be accessible in case a hearing is needed so you won't be tied to the show site all day. If any questions, email Karen Majka - Trial Chairman at AgilityCairn@aol.com Hope to see lots of you there!!! GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE GOING TO EUKANUBA!!!
