Putting our energy in all the right places BP-Husky Toledo Refinery A joint venture between BP and Husky Energy

fueling progress Allow us to take a moment to tell you what BP-Husky Refining is about. In a word, we re about energy. Our products provide energy to move, to heat and to live. Even more than our products, BP-Husky Refining is about people who put their energy into making progress. We work hard to increase productivity while enhancing safety. We are committed to being environmentally responsible, and we actively support our community. BP-Husky Refining is investing our energy in being a great neighbor while making great products. We make the gasoline that gets you to work, and the jet fuel that takes you on vacation. We produce the diesel fuel that keeps trucks rolling, and the asphalt to smooth their path. We create the kerosene to light a lamp, and the heating oil to warm a home. Simply put, our energy is focused on making things better for our customers, our neighbors and our future.

leading A Refined Relationship In early 2008, BP and Husky Energy of Canada formed two independent 50/50 joint ventures and the Toledo Refinery began a new era under a new name BP-Husky Refining LLC. As a result of the joint ventures, BP acquired a 50 percent interest in Husky s Sunrise Turning crude oil into life-enhancing products is what we do. Having a passion for responsible progress is who we are. We believe there s no better place to put our energy. oil sands field in Alberta, Canada, and Husky acquired a 50 percent interest in the Toledo Refinery, forming an integrated North America oil sands business. Employees at the Toledo Refinery will remain BP employees and employees at the Sunrise field in Alberta will remain Husky employees. These joint ventures were a historic event resulting in plans for a substantial investment and upgrade to the Toledo Refinery to ensure its future for years to come. BP-Husky Refining will not only generate a positive impact on the economy of Northwest Ohio, but also on the energy supply of the entire Midwest. After the upgrade is completed, the Toledo Refinery plans to increase clean fuels production by as much as 600,000 gallons per day.

A Safe Workplace Safety is a core value and an essential consideration in how we go about our business. We have many effective programs to address the safety of our employees and the community. These programs have achieved millions At BP-Husky Refining, we believe energy and environmental stewardship go hand in hand. We are committed to achieving the appropriate of man hours without a lost-time injury and are dramatically improving environmental performance. Our entire workforce knows the ultimate goal is zero injuries. We Believe in Zero posters are found throughout the Refinery, signed by employees, and serve as a daily reminder that the commitment to zero injuries is absolute and never ending. balance to find new ways of delivering clean energy without damaging the environment.

responsible A Clean Environment BP-Husky Refining recognizes the importance of protecting our environment. We maintain a staff of full-time professionals who monitor our processes and the air, water and land around the Refinery. They are responsible for reporting environmental data to local, state and federal agencies and for developing and implementing plans to ensure compliance with regulations. Our certification under the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Standard demands we strive for continuous improvement. Since 2000, we have reduced our regulated air emissions by 42 percent and overall water emissions by 30 percent. We constantly evaluate ways to get better at what we do to continue our industry leadership in environmental performance.

committed A Caring Neighbor The Toledo Refinery has been a part of the Oregon Community for nearly 90 years. We believe we should be a positive influence in our neighborhood, that our relationships should be honest and open, and that we should be held accountable for our actions. We value input from our neighbors, elected and appointed officials, local school teachers and administrators, as well as regulatory agencies. That is why we regularly meet with these groups to discuss our plant operations, to answer questions and to seek input on issues of importance to both the Refinery and the community. BP-Husky also invests in community programs and projects, particularly those that promote science, environmental education and math. This includes donating thousands of dollars to area schools with the A+ for Energy program and recognizing graduating students that are ranked in the top of their class. But it s not just money spent. BP-Husky Refining employees are involved in community projects and volunteer activities, including: Participating in Dragon Boat Races (through Partners in Education) Encouraging young scientists through our local science center Ongoing sponsorships with The Toledo Symphony and Oregon Fest Even our Emergency Response Team has provided training opportunities as well as assistance during various emergency responses throughout our region.

Honoring our past. Fueling our future. With almost a century of of roots in in the the Oregon community, the The Toledo Refinery is is proud to to support the area in in which we work, live and raise our families.
