SUBMITTING ASSIGNMENTS IN CANVAS
SUBMITTING ASSIGNMENTS IN CANVAS MOST IMPORTANT: Technology can sometimes be wonky, so communication is key! If you have a disaster of any kind and can't submit your work, don't panic! Just email me and let me know what is going on! As long as you email me before the due date/time, we can work something out. This only applies if there is a disaster. If you have procrastinated, failed to plan, or not done your best to make sure you can successfully complete an assignment, you will lose points. If something happens and you can't email me, go old school leave a voice mail for me on my school phone! It will time/date stamp for you: 623-376-3143. If you don't get in touch with me then you may receive a zero for your work, and we wouldn't want that! Please be aware of instances that may negatively affect your assignment score: 1. If you do not submit work in the approved format - PDF,.doc, or.docx 2. If work is submitted late. *All of this is from my school website under Canvas Information! We will come back to this...
ACADEMIC INTEGRITY When you work together either with someone in your class or in another ENH 110 class you are collaborating. Your work should still reflect your unique voice, writing style, etc. Copying answers from another even if you are copying because you divided up the work, is a form of plagiarism. Complete all assignments with academic integrity. Plagiarism Warning: Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to, the use of paraphrase or direct quotation of the published or unpublished work of another person without full and clear acknowledgment. It also includes the unacknowledged use of materials prepared by another person or agency engaged in the selling or sharing of term papers or other academic materials. Information gathered from the Internet and not properly identified is also considered plagiarism. We expect every student to produce his/her original, independent work. Any student whose work indicates a violation of the MCCCD Academic Misconduct Policy (including cheating and plagiarism) can expect sanctions as specified in the college catalog (2.3.11), or online at the following site: http://www.maricopa.edu/publicstewardship/governance/adminregs/students/2_3.php
ABSENT? Please email me! I will provide you with your make-up work! Do keep in mind that much of what we do is hands on and/or discussion based! When you miss class you may need to have an alternate assignment than what was done in class. If you simply ask one of your peers what they did, you may not get the correct information! It is your responsibility to see me for this make-up work. Remember that you can be proactive and email me ahead of time if you already know you will be gone! You do have only one day for each day you are absent to collect that work and get it submitted!
