From June, 16 to June 23, 2018 Dear chess friends, We are glad to invite you to the first edition of the "World Chess Trophy (WCTA), a unique combination of both holiday, in the beautiful Tenerife Island, and chess events only for hobby players (fully designed for people with a FIDE rating up to 2400). The charming Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands. In the beautiful setting of the Atlantic ocean, a site "tailored" to the demanding and refined tourists. WCTA : The Master (2000-2399 Elo), the General Open (1600-1999 Elo) and the Under 1600, will be held in Arona- Tenerife (Spain). The games will take place in a fully equipped and quiet Theater room. Schedule: The dates are June 16 (arrivals, attendance control and simultaneous exhibition) to June 23, 2018 (departures). Please note that Wednesday 20 is a free day. A player forfeits the game if he hasn't appeared at his/here board within half an hour after the game starting. Final ranking: number of points scored, tie break: A: Buchholz Cut 1 / B: total Buchholz / C: ARO. Appeals Committee: will be elected before the tournament starting.
