PIPING AND PIPELINE RISK-BASED INSPECTION 9 December 2014, Aberdeen Marriott Hotel, Aberdeen THE PRESSURE ON THE OFFSHORE AND ONSHORE INDUSTRIES IS GROWING AS THE NEED TO REDUCE PIPELINE AND PIPING FAILURES HAS BECOME A PRIORITY. Piping and Pipeline Risk-Based Inspection will deliver an engaging and honest insight into the successes and failures of the pipeline industry. This event will bring together case studies from operators seeking to maintain high production levels and showcasing the strategies, approaches and solutions used to prevent pipeline failures. Join us on 9 December to address key topics, including: RBI management (offshore and onshore), the benefits and properties of corrosion resistant alloys and isolation valve implementation. BENEFITS OF ATTENDANCE: Hear more operator case studies than any other dedicated piping seminar Learn how Apache recently installed the subsea isolation valve at Forties Charlie Discover the Bayesian Approach to RBI as TWI share their experiences Understand how Shell have recently reduced the percentage of leakages across conical spring washers Network with key industry figures within the piping and pipeline sector OUR EXPERT SPEAKING PANEL INCLUDES: SUPPORTING ORGANISATIONS: PAUL JACKSON CHAIR PRESSURE SYSTEMS GROUP INSTITUTION OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS ROBIN HASTINGS FIELD ENGINEER SHELL MARK RICHARDSON NORTH SEA PROJECTS GROUP MANAGER APACHE MEDIA PARTNER: See page 5 for full speaker list SPONSORSHIP & EXHIBITION OPPORTUNITIES GET INVOLVED Attending this event as either an exhibitor or sponsor will give you the opportunity to display your solutions, services and products to the right people at the right time. SPEAKERS AND CONTRIBUTORS SHARING LOCAL BEST PRACTICE THROUGH CASE STUDIES IS ESSENTIAL IF THE NORTH SEA IS TO THRIVE AND MAXIMISE OIL RECOVERY WHEN COMPETING FOR GLOBAL CAPITAL. - Mark Richardson, North Sea Projects Group Manager, Apache PAUL JACKSON CHAIR PRESSURE SYSTEMS GROUP, INSTITUTION OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS Paul Jackson is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical and is Chair of the Pressure Systems Group. Paul started his engineering career at Compair Reavell in Ipswich as an apprentice fitter and graduated six years later with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Loughborough University. Paul then joined NNC and worked for nine years on the steam generators for Hartlepool and Heysham nuclear power stations. When these were commissioned Paul joined ICI in 1986 to lead the NW vessels team. He now works for ABB Consulting who purchased the engineering department of ICI in 2001. Paul is now Function Leader of Inspection at ABB Consulting, a UKAS accredited pressure systems inspection service, and leads ABB s team of Integrity Management Team Consultants in the NW.
