It teaches them the basics of coding and game development that keep them thinking about how their favorite ipad games were coded -the best alternative to just playing on the ipad.
Intelligent Robotics w/ Coding (Ages 7 10, beginners) Children will learn basic programming by building a robot (mbot) and creating simple programs to control the robot. Visual Programming software (mblock based on Scratch) is used to show children computer science principles. Children will experiment with reading data from the robot sensors and develop programs to control robot action and activation of lights, motors, buzzer, line tracker, etc.
Creative Robotics w/ Junkbot Arduino Kit (Ages 10 14) Did you know, that building robots is simple and fun filled? It can be built, even from actual junk such as water-bottles, CDs, cardboard or literally, anything around you. This program will enable children between 10 to 14 years old, to build robots by using Arduino, Electronic sensorsand Code and learn concepts of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics), in a fun and engaging way. Design, prototype and play with electronics; Connect and build your own robots; Discover the inventor in you!
Mobile App Development (Ages 10 14) The objective of this course is to make app development as inclusive and straightforward as possible so kids can bring their ideas to life. Students with a non-technical background are empowered to create apps and games with ease using Visual Programming interface. Students will use online tools like MIT App Inventor to develop and test apps. We encourage students to bring their ideas to life and upload their apps to the Google App Store with paid accounts by the end of the course. * Students will have to get their own laptops for developing and preferably an android device (phone/tablet) to test their apps.
