Basics Number 1 challenge of a team meeting is Attendance. How do you get people there? Be sure to let everyone know about the meeting, post it on Your Monthly Newsletter (get an amazing one at mydirectsalestoolbox.com ) Your Team Site / Calendar Face Book Email out reminders from your mass mail provider i.e. constant contact. Make a short You Tube video, you can exprees enthusiasm & create that personal energy easily by sending out a link to your video invitation or reminderyou can also post it on your site and your FB page! Play the secret color game, the day of the meeting text a secret color anyone who wears the color to the meeting wins a door prize or points toward products, whatever is in your budget. In your e-mail you could offer to any one who brings a prospective recruit gets to pick from a prize table, - On the prize table you could have colored gift bags with various items inside, maybe one could be business tools or a certificate for lunch with you, or points towards a retreat or convention, again whatever is in your budget. Keep track of attendance for a three month period and whoever attends the most wins a tiara or a sash to wear proudly to the next meeting. It s a great idea to give your leaders assignments, ask them to give an 8 minute presentation on a topic. If you are fairly new and your group is small team up with another consultant and take turns with planning and treats. Make it ORGANIZED, WORTH WHILE, & FUN! (You do want them to come back!)
The most important thing about team meetings of any kind is to be consistent If you train your team to know that every Month at a set time they can show up & know they will be a part of something great...they will do it! So commit yourself to being a consistent leader Treat your meeting like a party or home show, have consultants fill out door prize slips as they come in, play the card game with them award them points for questions. It s a great way to train new consultants! ( How to play the card game, use a basic deck of cards tell them they have 8 minutes anyone who asks a question about your products or business gets a card, at the end of the 8 minutes the one with the most points wins!) Engage and Interact, do hands on projects Role play - how to host a party, use door prize slips, use a shine packet. If you have time allow a few consultants to share a Good News Moment something that is going great for them either with their business or personally. Have an agenda or an outline to follow. Recognize, Welcome, and/or, Award Work within your budget you don't need to break the bank to have a great time & a productive training.
Create a Return, Report, Reward, program. Give everyone a challenge with a defined purpose and for those who come to the next meeting and share what they learned or how it went will be rewarded with, ( whatever is in your budget, tools, product or even recognition and/or your time.) Send out an e-mail after the meeting, thank them for attending and ask for feedback & input on how the meeting went & what would be help full to them in the future! Team meetings are a great way to train & create a sense of unity within your group. By keeping them fun and positive you can direct the overall attitude of your business. Follow up with those who did not make it let them know they were missed. Send out any power points, tools and or trainings that were presented. You could even make a very quick video giving a recap of the meeting for those who missed it! Tools for these ideas can be found at mydirectsalestoolbox.com
