Setting Up the Polycom RealPresence Group Series Media Center with a Single 55 or 65 Display or 55 Dual Displays 1 Remove the base from packaging and flip the base over. Attach the four legs to the base, using two M10 x 50 flanged socket head cap screws per leg. 3 Detach the pre-installed speaker bracket from each vertical support by removing the 1/4-20 x 5/8 socket head cap screws, flat washers, and lock washers. Set them aside. 2 Install the supplied floor glides on the legs, using one flat washer and one split lock washer per glide. Ensure that the flat washer is closest to the leg surface. Alternatively, install the optional casters on the legs. The locking casters must be installed on the front legs, which are located on the side of the base with no slots. Attach the casters using one flat washer and one lock washer per caster. Ensure that the flat washer is closest to the leg surface. Pull the caster up to fit the wrench underneath to tighten the hardware. After tightening, push the caster back down. 4 Place the left vertical support on the base, aligning the holes in the base with the holes in the bottom of the vertical support. Attach the vertical support to the base using three M10 x 25 flanged socket head cap screws per vertical support. Do not fully tighten. Repeat with the right vertical support. With the assistance of another person, flip the base over and lock the front casters. Front Side with Locking Casters Setting up the Polycom RealPresence Group Series Media Center 2

5 Install the lower display rail (single or dual) by aligning the holes in the display rail with the holes in the vertical supports. Attach with four M10 x 25 flanged socket head cap screws. Do not fully tighten. 7 Install the nylon spacer over the front door hinge pin at the base. nylon spacer Single Insert the hinge pin/bracket into the top of the front door. Slide the bottom of the front door onto the door hinge pin. Position the top hinge bracket underneath the bottom display rail by sliding it in between. Align the holes in the bracket with the holes in the vertical supports. Attach the door using two 10-32 x 1/2 pan head screws. Dual 6 Install the upper display rail (single or dual) by aligning the holes in the display rail with the holes in the vertical supports. Attach with four M10 x 25 flanged socket head cap screws. Do not fully tighten. Single 8 Attach the rear panel by inserting the two tabs at the bottom of the door into the slots in the base. This serves as an alignment tool to ensure the frame is properly aligned before tightening all bolts. Using the L-key, tighten the socket head cap screws at the bottom of the base, the lower display rail, and the upper display rail. Remove the rear door. Place the subwoofer onto the bottom of the Media Center by inserting the screws into the holes at the bottom of the Media Center. 11 Install the left speaker assembly on the vertical support by aligning the holes in the speaker bracket with the holes in the vertical support. Ensure that the speaker is oriented so the label is at the bottom. Attach with the two previously uninstalled 1/4-20 x 5/8 socket head cap screws, flat washers, and lock washers. Feed the speaker wire through the hole at the bottom of the vertical support. Leaving enough slack to reach the subwoofer, trim or dress the speaker cable as needed. Repeat with the right speaker assembly. Attach the speaker wires to the subwoofer. For cabling details, refer to the documentation that came with the subwoofer. 10 Attach the speaker wires to the left speaker. Fasten the speaker bracket to the speaker using two 1/4-20 x 5/8 socket head cap screws, flat washers, and lock washers. Repeat with the right speaker. Align the bracket on the right speaker so that the speakers will be oriented the same on both sides, with the label on the bottom. 12 Attach the mesh grill on the left side by inserting the three tabs behind the front door and flexing the mesh grill as needed to fit. Open the front door and install three 10-32 x 1/2 pan head screws. Repeat with the mesh grill on the right side. Setting up the Polycom RealPresence Group Series Media Center 4
