Host Preparation Here are a few tips to help you prepare yourself and your cast for the team building mystery. Read the Guide on How to Host a Host-Party Team Building Mystery. This guide will give you all the specifics on preparing for and hosting your party. This guide should have been emailed to you upon purchase. Guest Instructions Before The Party The pre-game clue helps to set the scene for the evening s events. You can follow the costume suggestions when possible but feel free to improvise wherever you prefer. On The Night On arrival at the party you may be given a nametag or label (please be careful with delicate fabrics). The host will then make an announcement about what has just happened and the mystery will begin. You will be given your player clues and the events will unfold. On your first slip is some secret information, which you should not reveal unless directly challenged. Your slip will also tell you whether you are the murderer or not. If you are the murderer you may lie as much as you like. If you are not the murderer you must tell the truth. As the evening progresses you will be able to ask and answer questions, read clues and form your opinion as to the identity of the murderer. At the end of all the rounds the host will ask each player to make an accusation, giving reason, motive and method, of who they think is the murderer. After everybody has guessed, the host will then ask each player to read out their solution, contained in Round 7, in strict numerical order, starting with the lowest number first until the murderer is revealed. Round 1 - Terror in Transylvania Round Instructions To start the game Stretch reads out The Announcement Number 1 explaining what has happened to Jack Ular. He then reads out The Forensic Evidence (General Clue Number 2) and gives out the slips for each round. The guests follow the instructions on their slips, which contain information that they have to keep to themselves until challenged, or information which they must reveal during the round. The authorities have encouraged each of you to talk among yourselves and try to discover hidden motives among members of the group. General Clue (Share with all Guests) ANNOUNCEMENT NUMBER 1 TO BE MADE BY STRETCH AT THE START OF ROUND 1 Good evening everybody, I am Stretch, Mr Ular s butler here at Castle Alucard. For any of you that have visited the Torture Chamber in the Dungeon of Horrors, Stretch the Butler is not an instruction for the operator of the rack! I hope that you have all enjoyed your complimentary day in the Master s brilliant theme park, Vampireland. Hopefully you have been scared sufficiently today to make you all ready for the ultimate scary challenge. As each of you has already accepted the Master s challenge to spend a night in the haunted West Wing here at Castle Alucard, I had better let you have some more details as to what the challenge actually entails. To fulfill the challenge and win $10,000, you each have to remain locked in your specially prepared individual rooms from 10:00pm tonight until 07:30am tomorrow morning. Each room contains a padded coffin made in your exact size to ensure a comfortable fit that you will be able to sleep in. The rooms also contain antique furniture and paintings, a chamber pot to help you get through the night and a panic button if at any time you wish to give up and be let out. The West Wing of Castle Alucard has a reputation of being the most haunted place in Transylvania with numerous sightings of ghosts and where vampires are said to prowl at night. My master, Mr Ular, has decided to join you for the night and has moved his own sleeping coffin into one of the West Wing rooms. He even went for a nap in his coffin this afternoon and he will be joining us shortly for our meal before the night s challenge commences. I shall just open the door to the Master s room and let him know that you are all ready to begin the challenge.. Oh my goodness, the Master is lying in his coffin with a wooden stake through his chest and he is covered in blood. GENERAL CLUE NUMBER 2 TO BE READ OUT BY STRETCH THE BUTLER AFTER ANNOUNCEMENT NUMBER 1 AT THE BEGINNING OF ROUND 1 THE FORENSIC EVIDENCE Good evening everybody it s me again, Stretch the Butler. I have now had an opportunity to compose myself after the terrible shock of finding Mr Ular staked through the heart. The police have now completed their initial forensic tests and it appears that a person or persons unknown entered the Master s room this afternoon while the Master was taking an afternoon nap in his coffin. then drove a sharpened wooden stake into his heart, killing him instantly. The killer then left the room leaving the poor master lying in a pool of blood in his own coffin where he loved to spend much of his time. The police have informed me that all of the guests here are suspects and nobody will be allowed to leave the Castle until their investigation is complete.
