O v e r v i e w Installation Sequence 1. Assemble the Plastic Trim Ring to the opening in the desktop. 2. Assemble the LCD Electric Lift to the underside of the desktop. 3. Assemble the Lift Switch. 4. Remove the cardboard fillers from the Monitor Carriage. 5. Assemble the Top Plate to the Monitor Carriage. T r i m R i n g Installing the Trim Ring 1. Position the Trim Ring into the desktop opening. See figure 1. 2. Drill four 3/32 (.093 ) diameter pilot holes into the desktop using the fastener holes in the Trim Ring as a guide. 3. Fasten the Trim Ring to the desktop with (4) #6AB x 3/4 Phillips head wood screws. See figure 1a. (A hand operated screwdriver is recommended). L C D E l e c t r i c L i f t Installing the LCD Electric Lift Note: For ease of installation, invert the desk onto it s top surface. Place soft material on the floor to protect the finish of the desktop. 1. Remove the front cover from the LCD Lift. Do not remove the two cardboard fillers from the mechanism at this time. See figure 2. 2. Position the LCD Lift on the underside of the desktop and align the fastener slots in the mechanism with the holes in the desktop. 3. Remove one cardboard filler and fasten one side of the LCD Lift frame to the desktop with (6) #10AB x 3/4 phillips head wood screws. Note that the mounting holes in the frame are elongated slots. Position the frame so that the screws are centered in the frame slots. Replace the filler and the repeat the procedure for the opposite side. See figure 3. A c t u a t o r S w i t c h Installing the Actuator Switch 1. Using the (2) #8AB Phillips flat head screws provided, install the Actuator Switch near the front edge of the desktop. See figure 4. 2. Secure the Actuator Switch cord using the cord clips provided. See figure 5. 3. T o p P l a t e Installing the Top Plate 1. Plug in the LCD Lift. 2. Raise the Monitor Carriage to it s full height. 3. Place (1) large #10 flat washer onto each threaded stud on the underside of the Top Plate. See figure 5. 4. Insert the threaded studs through the oversized holes in the top of the Monitor Carriage. Place (1) small #10 flat washer and (1) #10 lock nut onto each stud. Snug the nuts but do not tighten them. 5. Lower the Monitor Carriage and allow the Top plate to seat itself. M o n i t o r Installing the LCD Monitor to the LCD Lift 1. Remove the stand (if equipped) from the LCD monitor. 2. Fasten the VESA Mounting Plate assembly to the back of the LCD monitor with the M4 screws provided. See figure 6. 3. Tilt the Monitor Support Plate forward. 4. Position the Monitor/Mounting Plate onto the Monitor Support Plate with the threaded studs protruding through the slots in the plate. See figure 7. 5. Secure the Monitor/Mounting Plate assembly to the Support Plate with the (2) lock washers and (2) plastic wing nuts that are provided. Note: The wing nuts must be in the vertical position when fully tightened. 6. Install the Monitor Lock assembly to the back of the Monitor Support Plate as shown in figure 7. Slide the top of the Lock assembly under the hook tabs on the support plate and then lock the unit. See figure 8. R o u t i n g C a b l e s Routing Cables 1. Pass all monitor cables through the cable port in the bottom of the Monitor Carriage. 2. Route the cables through the port in the LCD Lift Frame. Route the cables as shown in figure 9. Secure the cables with the Wire Tie Saddles and Wire Ties provided. See figure 9a. 3.
