CAD Program Update Articulation Activities Illinois State The Department of Technology offers a variety of programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Undergraduate programs include Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Graphic Communications, Industrial Computer Systems, Renewable Energy, and Technology Education. John Bordeau visited Illinois State University last to discuss a new formal articulation for KCC CAD to ISU Engineering Technology or Graphic Communications. Governors' State The undergraduate major in Business Administration with a management concentration prepares students for positions of leadership in business, government, and industry. Students are prepared for the challenges of professional life through the study of the functional areas of business.

The concepts of working drawings, assembly drawings, and exploded pictorial drawings will be addressed. Students will understand the difference between a drawing for marketing purposes and a drawing for manufacturing purposes. This course is also an introduction to Autodesk Inventor software. New Catalog Description Prerequisite: DRFT 2124. This course is an introduction to Autodesk Inventor software. Autodesk Inventor is a mechanical design, assembly-centric, threedimensional solid modeling and two-dimensional drawing production software system. During this course, you will explore the Autodesk Inventor parametric solid modeling environment, interface components, basic file management tools, and specific part model tools and part model creation techniques. The concepts of working drawings, assembly drawings, technical illustrations, and exploded pictorial drawings will be emphasized.

The student will create drawings designed to teach the fundamentals of architectural drafting including sections, detailing, and dimensioning. Each student will be required to complete a set of working drawings. New Catalog Description Prerequisite: DRFT 2124. This course is an introduction to Autodesk Revit software. Autodesk Revit is an architectural design software with 3D Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools for design conceptualization, visualization, analyzing and 2D documentation. Topics include: walls, doors, windows, roofs, ceilings, stairs, foundations, structural members, views, annotations, dimensions, and detailing.
