2 Introduction The Tek-Bar series of smart transmitters have excellent stability, high accuracy and include features that facilitate easy installation, start up and minimum maintenance thereby lowering process downtime and overall cost of ownership in the long run. These transmitters are equipped with an automatic temperature compensation function integrated into its advanced signal processing circuitry to ensure high reliability and performance corresponding to change of ambient temperature. Working principle of Tek-Bar 3100-D,G,H model The Tek-Bar 3100-D,G,H, A smart pressure transmitter used Capacitance pressure sensors. It consist of two metal plates that are separated by sensing diaphragm. The capacitor plate is filled with silicone oil. The pressure applied deflects the diaphragm and is transferred through the oil onto the sensor. The capacitance characteristics of the sensing element changes. These signal transfer to the electronic circuitry of transmitter that converts the change in capacitance to the output signal. Capacitance transmitters are available are configured for either differential or gauge pressure measurement. Usual outputs are voltage or current. 3 Available Models Standard SST Housing The Tek-Bar 3100 Smart Pressure Transmitter is a micro-processor based high performance transmitter. Various models are available to measure different pressures. The model Tek-Bar 3100-G measures gauge pressure, Tek-Bar 3100-H measures high line pressure, Tek-Bar 3100-D measures differential pressure and Tek-Bar 3100-A measure absolute pressure. The Tek-Bar 3100 MP is available with multi-planer process connection for vertical installation without separate adaptor. The Smart pressure transmitter can be used as flow meter. It is same as standard model. Only terminal box is different, adding two more terminals for display of pulse output. 4 Functional Block Diagram Functional Block Diagram: The Electronics module consists of a circuit board sealed in an enclosure. There are a MCU module, a power module, an analog module, a LCD module and a terminal module in a transmitter. The MCU module acquires the digital value from the analog module and apply correction coefficients selected from EEPROM. The output section of the power module converts the digital signal to a 4~20 ma output. The MCU module communicates with the HARTbased Configurator. The Power module have a DC-to-DC Power conversion circuit and an Input/output isolation circuit. An optional LCD module plugs into the MCU module and displays the digital output in user-configured unit. The capacitance pressure sensor measures differential and gauge pressure and is commonly used in flow and level applications. The sensor module converts the capacitance or the resistance to the digital value. The MCU module calculates the process pressure based on the digital value. The sensor modules include the following features: The software of the transmitter compensates for the thermal effects, improving performance Precise Input Compensation during operation is achieved with temperature and pressure correction coefficients that are characterized over the range the transmitter and stored in the sensor module EEPROM memory EEPROM stores sensor information and correction coefficients separately from MCU module, allowing for easy repair, reconfiguration and replacement

As a result, the modified flanges must be additionally provided. Multi-planar pressure transmitter has been made in an effort to solve the problems occurring in the related art, and an object of this multi planar is to provide a pressure transmitter, capable of being vertically installed without separate adaptor or various types of brackets regardless of the position of each fluid inflow line.
11 Tek-Bar 3100 as a flowmeter The Tek-Bar 3100 pressure transmitter can be used as flowmeter. The flowmeter model has an added the totalizing function. It is available to check the flow rate and total flow. Measuring & Express Flow rate and Total flow Pulse output by accumulation of total flow APT3100F measures the flow rate by using differential pressure so it is not compensated the temperature and static pressure Wiring External Appearance The shape of transmitter is same as standard device.
