BRENNA WALRAVEN The Business Case & Future of Energy Efficiency & Sustainability KEYNOTE SPEAKER Brenna oversees property management for USAA Real Estate Company s national portfolio of approximately 77 million square feet and is also the portfolio manager for a $1.6B multi-family and mixed use portfolio. She has driven the business case for how to successfully lead USAA s national effort of improved energy efficiency and environmental stewardship resulting in reduced energy consumption by 39%, reduced water consumption by 21% and saved the portfolio in excess of $17 million over ten years. These efforts have resulted in 9 Energy Star Partner of the Year awards, the most by any real estate company. USAA has been recognized as the top 5 in the Americas (US, Canada and South America) by Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) in 2011 for their leadership in sustainability strategy, management and execution. Brenna was asked to partner with USGBC to develop their Portfolio Program Pilot for LEED and has certified 75% of USAA s office portfolio. Managing Director USAA Real Estate Company Brenna has an undergraduate degree in Economics and an MBA in Finance, both from USC. She is the past Chairman of BOMA International, served as vice chair of the Sustainability Policy Advisory Council of the Real Estate Roundtable, served on former California Governor Schwarzenegger s Real Estate Industry Leadership Council, has testified before Congress on issues of energy efficiency and sustainability, and serves on the steering committee, LOCUS, for the Brookings Institution policy work on transportation oriented development. She also has been recognized by Real Estate Forum magazine as one of the real estate industry s Next Leaders in their 65th anniversary edition.

POGUE Lunchtime Keynote As National Director of Sustainability, Institutional & Corporate Services, Dave Pogue is responsible for leading sustainability programs for CBRE s property and facilities management portfolio across the Americas. Mr. Pogue manages the development, introduction and implementation of a wide-ranging platform of sustainable practices and policies, working closely with Facilities Management, Project Management, Global Corporate Services and Asset Services to focus on achieving a consistent balance of maximum financial performance and responsible environmental stewardship. National Director of Sustainability Mr. Pogue s leadership has produced an award-winning sustainability platform that leverages thought leadership, outstanding service delivery and corporate associations to raise the worldwide green building standard.
