It is not possible to be represented at a Tournament by another person. 5. Employees of the Société des Casinos du Québec Inc. ("SCQ") may not participate in a Tournament. 6. Position assignments at the start of the Tournament and at the beginning of the final game, if appropriate, will be determined by random draw. 7. If unoccupied positions remain available, participants may register after the Tournament start signal, provided they do so before the end of Level 8. Should a player break be underway when the registration period ends, it is possible to register until the Tournament resumes. The stake for such participants will be as indicated in Section 10. 8. Participants who arrive after the start signal may join a Tournament, although they must take into consideration that the dealer will have collected chips in the amount of each blind that would have been played had the participant been present. However, participants will be deemed to have forfeited their Tournament seat as soon as one of the two following situations occurs: 1) their stake is insufficient to cover the blind they would have had to play were they present, or 2) their rank during the Tournament, had they been present, would have qualified them to win a Tournament prize. 9. If no unoccupied positions are available, participants who so wish, up until the end of Level 8, may have their names added to a waiting list for a chance to play in a Tournament in the event a position becomes free following a participant s elimination. Should a player break be underway when the registration period ends, it will be possible to register until the Tournament resumes. The stake for such participants will be as indicated in Section 10. 10. At the start of a Tournament, each participant will receive non-cashable tournament chips in the amount of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) for three hundred dollar ($300). Six hundred dollar ($600) tournaments and for twelve hundred dollar ($1,200) tournaments, twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) in chips. 11. During a Tournament, tournament chips must always remain in the designated chip area on the table and in sight of other participants. 12. No resupply will be permitted during a Tournament. Participants who are eliminated from the Tournament prior to the end of Level 8 may, however, re-register for the same Tournament subject to the conditions indicated in Sections 7 and 9. Such new registration is, therefore, not considered resupply 13. If, before the second (2nd) break, participants consider their stake insufficient, they may, if allowed at the table, surrender and have their name added to the waiting list for a chance to again participate in the same Tournament, following the order on the list, if and when a seat becomes available. A Supervisor will remove abandoned chips from the Tournament. Should the surrender take place during a Bounty tournament, the Bounty amount will be placed in the pot for the following hand at
TOURNAMENT RULES 3 the table where the surrender occurred. 14. The game category will be no limits. 15. For the first hand of a Tournament at each table, as well as for the first hand of the final game at the table designated for that purpose, the dealer button will be placed at the first position on the dealer s right. 16. Bet amounts will be increased at specific rounds according to the Table of Bets indicated in Appendix A. 17. There will be a break after round 4 in all Tournaments. 18. Participants, whether or not they are present, must place their bets in accordance with the rounds indicated in the table in Appendix A, for every round until they exhaust their supply of chips. Should the participant be absent, the dealer will take blind bet amounts from the participant s chips. 19. Participants absent from the table when the last card of the initial deal is distributed will be deemed to have folded their hand. 20. Chips may not be transferred and association among participants will not be tolerated. 21. During the Tournament, the Tournament Supervisor will balance off the number of participants at each table as places free up due to elimination. 22. The Tournament supervisor may ask any participant to move from one table to a designated position at another table. The participant to be moved will be the player who is next to play a big blind at the table. 23. When a table is closed to reassign participants to other tables, position reassignment will be determined by random draw. 24. When the number of non-eliminated participants approaches the number required for the final round or the number of Tournament prizes, games will be played one at a time until the appropriate number of participants is reached. 25. Once the number of participants required for the final game has been reached, their position assignment at the table designated for the final will be determined by random draw. 26. Participants exhibiting inappropriate behaviour may be penalized. Penalties include: verbal warning, time-out from playing an increasing number of rounds and disqualification. Penalties applied will be entirely at the Tournament Supervisor s discretion. 27. When more than one participant is eliminated in the same hand of a Tournament, the participant who started the hand with the highest holdings will end with the highest rank among the participants concerned. If their stakes at the start of the game were equal, those participants will share the same rank and, if appropriate, the prize amount corresponding to that rank. It is understood that there may not be a tie for 1st place. 28. In the last stage of a Tournament, participants in the final game who have the most chips will receive, as appropriate, a Tournament prize matching their rank as indicated in the Prize

The SCQ reserves the right to cancel or amend a Tournament in a manner that is fair to participants. The SCQ also reserves the right to amend the Rules herein, in which case revised rules will be made available to the public. 34.
