Draw String Bag What you will need for this project is worsted weight yarn, 4 ply US, 10ply AU and a 5mm / H hook. I first saw this stitch here http://snasent.me/2012/08/08/oppskrift-pa-hekletbolgeteppe/ and fell in love with it! I'm excited to share it with you! NOTE: This will show you how to work the pattern from the beginning of the round to the end, but this can leave a seam, so once you learn the pattern, if your advanced, I recommend making your color changes in a different place as to not leave a seam. Abbreviations ch = chain sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet sk a st = skip a stitch sl st = slip stitch st(s) = stitch(es) dc dec = Double crochet decrease To Start: Ch 3 and sl st into beginning stitch to form a ring Round 1 ch 1 and work 14 DC's into ring, sl st into beginning stitch Round 2 ch 1 and dc into the back loop only of the same stitch and then DC into the back loop of the next 2 dc's. Then go back and DC into the front loops that you skipped, starting from the first dc you did. This is called the Crossover double crochet, if you need a beginner video see this one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5yvkojb6e6s Then repeat for rest of round, *dc 1 into the back loop only of the next three stitches, then back up and dc into the front loops you skipped. * repeat until last two stitches. Dc in front loops on last two stitches, then back up and dc into the front loops of the last two stitches. Just like you did before, only you have two stitches instead of three. sl st into beginning stitch (28 sts) Round 3 repeat round 2 doing the double crochet crossover stitch, until you get to the very last stitch, then you want to do a DC into the back loop, then dc into the front loop. If you crochet right to left make sure your loop is to the right, if not then do one more row. Make sure your handle is centered onto the other side. You put your hook through the strap then around the post of the top of the stitches from round 25, connect your 5 sts and leaving a tail to be worked in with a tapestry needle, cut your yarn. If you want to know how to make the flowers, they are from the Puff Flower Scarf, only difference is these flowers are made using a 3.5mm/ E hook instead of the 4.5mm hook which the scarf calls for. http://www.youtube.com/watch? v=zykl-efij-w This pattern is brought to you by http://meladorascreations-com.webs.com/ You can sell any item made from this pattern and link back to my page or videos, but you do not have permission to copy and paste my pattern anywhere online.
