METSTRADE AWARDS Designed to innovate The DAME Design Awards, which celebrated its 25th jubilee last year, are the world s premier international design competition for new marine equipment and accessories. Judged by a jury of industry leaders and experts, it enjoys enormous prestige and a worldwide commercial impact. Winning a DAME is the ultimate honour for companies and innovators, and all nominations for the award are seen as trendsetters for the next generation of product development. Boat Builder Awards Launched in 2015, the Boat Builder Awards for Business Achievement are organised by METSTRADE and Time Inc. Ltd, publishers of International Boat Industry magazine (IBI). It increases the engagement of boatbuilders with the METSTRADE experience and the marine equipment supply community. The six award domains were chosen specifically to highlight crucial areas for suppliers. There are three stages of innovation: to devise an innovative product or solution; to produce it in a high standard; and then to design and present it in a way that assures long-term success. This rationale underpins the DAME awards which are open to all exhibitors at the METSTRADE show as it motivates the industry to build better products for marine applications.
