NSTALLATON TPS FOR GLUEDOWN VNYL Requirements The cement screed must be level, and perfectly smooth. Acclimatise the vinyl on site, ideally 48 hours before the installation. Use a moisture meter to check that the screed is dry. Glue: Only use Genkem QAR179A Apply adhesive using a 1,5mm notched trowel. Note: Contact adhesive may also be used, but only in well-ventilated areas. Reason Any bumps in the screed will show through the vinyl. Otherwise vinyl may expand or shrink before the adhesive dries Adhesive cannot bond to a damp screed. Genkem QAR179A is a specialised Glue that does not allow movement. Allows the correct amount of glue to be applied. Contact adhesive is solvent based, it is harmful for installers to breathe the fumes.
CLEANNG AND CARE- VNYL FLOOR PLANKS Preventive care Place non-rubber mats at all doors leading in from the outside, to remove sand and grit. nstall floor protectors, preferably felt pads, on all furniture legs. For swivel office chairs, protect the floor with a chair mat. Temperatures of over 35 degrees C combined with strong direct sunlight will shorten the lifespan of a vinyl floor. Where there are large sun-facing glass doors or windows, some form of UV protection is recommended e.g. blinds, UV film, a pergola.. For vacant holiday homes, natural ventilation will prevent heat build-up inside e.g. install spinners in the roof, or an electric vent fan in the wall. Cleaning Sweep, or damp-mop, or vacuum about twice a week more often for heavy traffic. f the floor is dirty, clean with a damp-mop and a quality liquid vinyl-cleaner. Vinyl floor cleaning products are available at all supermarkets and most hardware stores. Not recommended: abrasive products, powdered cleaners, oil soaps, dishwashing liquids, waxes. Try to use a biodegradable cleaner that leaves no residue and requires no rinsing. For light dirt, you can simply use a few caps of white vinegar in half a bucket of water (use a mop).
UNDERFLOOR HEATNG GLUEDOWN VNYL Guidelines Please consult a reputable under floor heating company Heating system must be placed under the screed, not on top. Maximum 26 to 28 degrees. Most of the floor area must be covered by heating so that the heating is evenly spread. With Vinyl, heating is mostly popular in bathrooms only.
