Prelude FLNG: the largest offshore floating facility ever The Prelude FLNG facility will be 488m long, 74m wide and will weigh more than 600,000 tonnes with its cargo tanks full It is being built at the SHI shipyard in South Korea, one of the few places in the world with a dry dock big enough to construct a facility of this size Once constructed, the facility will be towed to location where commissioning will begin Once operational, the Prelude FLNG facility will produce 3.6 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of LNG, 1.3 mtpa of condensate and 0.4 mtpa of LPG 2

Prelude FLNG - pretty big. Imagine the scale The Prelude FLNG facility will be the largest offshore floating facility in the world, containing more than 260,000 tonnes of steel five times more than used to build the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Its decks will measure 488 metres by 74 metres, longer than four football fields laid end to end. 10
