Fidelity & Guaranty Life Des Moines, Iowa Art Consultant TJ Moberg Interior Designer Nicole Boyington of Workspace, Inc.
Moberg Gallery art consultant, TJ Moberg worked with the client and interior designer, Nicole Boyington from Workspace, Inc. during the design process to choose areas for art that would be the most impactful. The team focused on works by Iowa artists that incorporated the Des Moines skyline and the city s culture along with bright abstract works vivid colors and digital imagery. The design team intended to find the right mix of artistic media and included digitally manipulated photography printed on canvas, images on aluminum and screen prints on wood panels. Moberg says It was our initial design intent to add color to the space through the artwork selected. He added, The use of Iowa artists and Iowa as the subject of many of the pieces was the request of the client. We were able to successfully brighten up the space with the colorful art choices made and we added some civic pride through the use of Des Moines imagery. The following slides show images of the artwork that were chosen and the process involved in creating them.
Initial Consultation Moberg art consultant, TJ Moberg visited with the client and interior designer to understand their values, vision and aesthetical preference before photographing the specific areas in need of art.
Design Process The client was given many art options for each area using digital renderings showing the size, price and specific works that fit their aesthetic and vision.
The Café The café was a very important space and the client wanted to see lively abstract works with vivid colors to juxtapose the cityscapes through-out the remaining office.
Design Process for Café Digital renderings were used to help the client visualize their specific art options.
