SAIC contacted The PTR Group to create a prototype system to search removable media for malware Using COTS and other key technology advancements, PTR created a fully-functional rapid prototype PTR worked with SAIC to create an Atom-based Android platform capable of running the McAfee Virus Scanner for Linux In only 10 days and with a limited budget, PTR created the first generation prototype of the SAIC Ravelin system for demonstration Custom icons and Android user screens were developed to facilitate setup and operation by non-skilled users

NASA turned to The PTR Group to support their satellite servicing and repair mission PTR engineers developed the software that powers the next generation robotic arm selected for the future NASA and DARPA spacecraft servicing missions PTR was the first to put a Linuxbased platform into space We have supported space programs for customers such as The U.S. Naval Research Lab, Orbital Sciences and Orbcomm for over a decade

The PTR Group supports critical cyberspace operations Cutting Edge Know How We leverage our commercial embedded experience in support of National Security goals Our experience and success in the commercial arena creates opportunities for our government partners to accomplish mission goals using newly developed and/or leveraged technologies in embedded and real-time systems As experts in building embedded systems, we have a unique perspective that is instrumental in navigating the reverse engineering process Our experience with circuit-level hardware and the hardware/software interface makes us uniquely effective in supporting Computer Network Operations (CNO)

Cisco turned to The PTR Group to train their engineers in embedded Linux and other emerging technology areas We develop the course content and maintain ownership of the intellectual property rights PTR trainers are accomplished engineers and are able to relate real-world experience to their students Our collection of embedded engineering courses is one of the most comprehensive in the industry We create custom courses and train engineers at many Fortune 100 companies worldwide Our virtual training facilities support training around the globe

IMCI Technologies turned to The PTR Group to modernize their product line Our rapid-response solutions to their tough technical problems helps them maintain their position as a dominant global supplier of SNMP-based monitoring equipment We migrated their product architecture from a costly commercial operating system to Linux - dramatically reducing their product development and production costs We helped them leverage open source software components available for their new Linux-based architecture to develop ten new products in less than six months

Northrop Grumman turned to The PTR Group to hack an Android-based cell phone to upgrade the hardware platform for a critical DoD competition We delivered the solution in a matter of days enabling them to deploy and conduct a successful field test I ve finished testing your latest Nexus One Android 2.3.4 kernel with the Ethernet interface and it works great. This is exactly what we wanted and we are confident that this version will successfully get us through the field tests. Your multicast patch came just in time! Thanks to you we were able to successfully demonstrate our solution on three phones at the Army's NIE 12.1 leadership demo at Ft. Bliss on Monday and Tuesday.
