Product Description The Tannoy i7 is a tall and slim loudspeaker cabinet equipped with four mm (4. ) low frequency direct radiating drive units and one 25mm (. ) titanium dome tweeter arranged as a line source. Designed for use in acoustically difficult applications where controlled coverage is required, the dispersion characteristics of the i7 direct sound into the desired space while minimizing reflections from the ceiling. This makes it ideal for high quality music and speech reinforcement in highly reverberant environments ranging from houses of worship to retail environments and airports to conventions centres. The coupling effects in the vertical plane result in a narrow and controlled 7 coverage pattern while the horizontal coverage is an extremely wide. The complex frequency shading and integration techniques employed in the internal passive crossover network result in a smooth and uniform frequency response from Hz to 2kHz. A selector switch is located on the rear termination panel to allow the i7 to be installed as either a low impedance (8 Ohm) or V / 7.7V distributed line system. A rotary control adjusts the integral low insertion loss 6W transformer for 6, 3, 5, 7.5W operation. Two versatile mounting brackets are available as optional accessories; the i7y (yoke) and the i7 MAB (multiple angle bracket). These enable easy vertical, horizontal and tilt adjustment for fixed mount and flying applications.
