2 PLAYING TERMS AND CONDITIONS System. Swiss system in 9 rounds. Game control. 90 minutes for a player for the whole party + 30 seconds per move, starting from the first Rating and titles. The tournaments are valid for FIDE and the Bulgarian rating and for meeting the GM/IМ norms. Game hall. The parties are going to be played in the halls of Grand hotel Varna Results and game pairs will be reported on-line on the official website of the festival www.chessvarna.org, as well as on www.chess-results.org. The parties of the first 10 boards and video-streaming will be broadcast LIVE on the official website of the festival www.chessvarna.org Play time is measured with electronic clocks DGT XL. Organizers supply participants with water, pens, blanks. Free access to wi-fi everywhere on the territory of Grand hotel Varna resort & SPA complex. 3 PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS Right to participate Right to participate in the tournaments of VARNA OPEN will have all the chess players who have applied for participation and have paid the relevant tournament fee by bank transfer before 15 th June, 2016 Application form Registration Application form should be sent to the Organizing committee by e-mail to chessvarna@gmail.org or through the registration form on the website of the tournament. The application form must include: 1. Full name of the competitor 2. FIDE ID According to decision of the Judging Committee, in order to be admitted to participation in an International tournament, each participant must have a FIDE ID. In order to be registered for participation, a Bulgarian competitor without a FIDE ID must declare: three names, date of birth, sex and e-mail. Foreign competitors must have a FIDE ID, issued by their chess federations. 3. Federation, club/school 4. Date of birth 5. Tournament which they want to compete in VARNA OPEN consists of three tournaments according to the FIDE rating of the competitors: Tournament A Open tournament Tournament B for competitors with FIDE rating up to 2250 Chess Lovers for competitors with or without FIDE rating up to 2000 Participation fees Tournament A 160 lv. (BGN) Tournament B 120 lv. (BGN) Chess lovers 60 lv. (BGN) Competitors accommodated in the tournament hotels do not pay additional participation fee.

5. RATING Rating shall be done according to the number of score points. When the result is with equal number of points, additional indicators shall be used: 1. Buchholtz 2. Buchholtz 1 3. Average rating of the opponents 4. Greater number of wins 5. Greater number of wins with black chess pieces 6. ACCOMMODATION Accommodation and food will be provided for participants and accompanying persons in the official tournament hotels in St. Konstantin and St. Elena resort - Grand hotel Varna resort & SPA complex (5 and 4 stars All inclusive), and the House of Scientists. Reservations can be made only through the Organizing committee by accommodation form on the web: chessvarna.org! Deadline for reservations 31 May 2016! Reservations are valid upon payment of 50% of the total amount before 31 May 2016.! Deadline for payment for accommodation, transfer and participation fee 15. June 2016. Packet prices in lv.
