LOTTERY S JANUARY 2018 RETAILER ADVISORY BOARD Your voice is being heard! Ever wonder how the Lottery develops and rolls out some of its policies and programs to its retailers? We get your perspective, the retailer prospective, from the Lottery s very own Retailer Advisory Board. In addition to acquiring retailer input from District Sales Representatives, the Lottery has a Retailer Advisory Board that is tasked with providing feedback to Lottery management on how it can improve its operations, programs and policies from the retailer s perspective. The Retailer Advisory Board is split into Northern and Southern regions where members represent a variety of trade styles operating within the Lottery retail network. The two major groups include: independent retailers and corporate chain retailers. The Retailer Advisory Board helps shape the development and execution of the Lottery s strategic plans, marketing programs, product development and field Sales force service levels. The Board also shares insights on matters that affect the Lottery s player base and operates as a communication vehicle that strengthens the partnership between the Lottery and its retail network. Some of the Retailer Advisory Board s feedback has led to improving sales support, ensuring the smooth rollout of new games and policies, exploring new billing options and identifying opportunities for simplifying lottery processes at retail. In addition to selling entertaining games and offering year round promotions, the California Lottery is also charged with providing supplemental funding to public education. The more than one billion dollars we contribute every year could not be possible without the help and support of our retailers. Together, we are proud to contribute to California public schools!
