Decree No.1/2006. (II. 15.) of the Governor of Magyar Nemzeti Bank. on the reproduction of the Hungarian legal tender and the euro

Transcription:

Circulating Coins of the Republic of Poland 1923-1939 By the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Poland on April 17, 1924, was introduced the Polish "Zloty." It was based on a gold system (1 Zloty = to 9/31 grams of pure gold). From the second half of 1923 to 1924 the inflationary Polish Mark was worth 1,800,000 Marks to 1 Polish Zloty. The Presidential Degree also stated that 100, 50, 20 and 10 Zloty denominations were to be struck in 900 pure gold. The 5, 2, and 1 Zloty in silver. The 50, 20, and 10 Groszy in nickel. The 5, 2, and 1 Groszy in bronze. The Polish "Zloty" was equal to 100 Groszy. The Warsaw Mint was reopened in April of 1924. However, it was just starting to mint coins again and was limited in coin reproduction. It started to mint the 2 Groszy and the 5 Groszy coins (from the 1923 design) in brass. The 1 Grosz - 1923 in brass was subcontracted (to King's Norton Metal Company LDT). out to England The 1923, 10 Groszy were nickel coins, minted by Huguenin Frs in Le Lode, Switzerland. The 20 Groszy and 50 Groszy, nickel coins were minted in Haupt - Munzamt in Vienna and Rijksmunt in Utrechc, Holland. The dies for these coins were all produced in Warsaw, Poland. Therefore, there are no differences in the coins from the various foreign mints.
