Moves to Research Select Lehman Brothers Returns to TF via Research Select Macquarie Embargoed Research Now Available Exclusively; Joins 71 Other New Research Contributors in 2007 Thomson Financial is pleased to announce that embargoed analyst research reports from Macquarie are now exclusively available through Thomson Financial s Investext and Research Select databases. Macquarie, with over 200 analysts/associates, covers more than 1,000 stocks in the Asian, Australian, New Zealand and South African markets. Macquarie s research has won numerous accolades including being named the leading equities research firm in Australia/New Zealand in the 2006 Asia Extel Survey. There are over 6,600 reports already available online, covering the financial, electronics, automobiles, real estate, energy, food & beverages, metal, healthcare, and building materials industries. Macquarie research is available through both the Investext and Research Select databases. Of the 6,600 reports online today, over 6,300 are currently available on Investext. Reports that are 10 pages or less in length are available after a seven-day embargo in Investext. Longer reports are initially offered through Research Select on a pay-per-view basis and then migrated to Investext (reports that are 11 to 20 pages in length migrate to Investext after six months, while longer reports migrate after nine months). Thomson Financial, which provides access to more than 1,000 embargoed research contributors, now offers 41 exclusive sources. Macquarie joins Credit Suisse, Bear Stearns, HSBC, Wachovia, CIBC World Markets, Grupo Santander and Société Générale as research contributors that redistribute their embargoed research only through Thomson Financial. Thomson Financial has the largest collection of real-time and embargoed research reports on the market as well as the largest installed base of subscribers to that research. There are over 1,000 sources included within the Investext database of embargoed research, of which more than 72 contributors have been added in 2007, which has increased substantially the breadth and depth of content coverage both among top tier contributors as well as smaller firms focused on a particular geography or industry. The change will affect the full history of Piper Jaffray research available through Thomson ONE Banker and Thomson Research. Lehman Brothers Returns to Thomson via Research Select Lehman Brothers, the top ranked research firm in the 2006 Institutional Investor All-America Research Team, will begin distribution of embargoed research reports through Thomson Financial s Research Select collection beginning September 17, 2007. Offered on a pay-per-view basis, reports from Lehman Brothers will be available back to 1997. One of the original contributors to the Investext database, the firm ceased distribution of their embargoed research in 2004 and now returns to join Citigroup, UBS, Morgan Stanley, and Merrill Lynch in Research Select.
