LEVEL 4 GRADUATES IN THEOLOGY AND RELIGIOUS STUDIES AT LEVEL 4 ARE An awareness of the historical, social, and cultural significance of religious traditions and of attitudes toward religions A general knowledge of the ways in which religious belief may influence and inform the ethics, outlook, and behaviour of individuals and communities A general knowledge of the interactions between religions and societies, both historically and in the contemporary world Ability to read, understand and summarize religious texts Ability to communicate in a clear manner both orally and through the written word Ability to employ different learning methods Ability to participate in a collective and work for common goals Ability to relate one s personal ethical reasoning, understandings and beliefs with the world views of the others A self-critical awareness of a possible vocational commitment involved in a chosen field of study

LEVEL 6 GRADUATES IN THEOLOGY AND RELIGIOUS STUDIES AT LEVEL 6 ARE An advanced knowledge of the historical, social, and cultural significance of religious traditions and of attitudes toward religions. the ways in which theological understanding or religious belief may influence and inform the ethics, outlook, and behaviour of individuals and communities. A knowledge of the ways in which specific religions and religious institutions are structured and regulated. the interactions between religions and societies, both historically and in the contemporary world. the complexity of different responses, and of the ways they have been shaped by beliefs and values, and conversely, how beliefs, sacred texts and art forms have been shaped by society and politics. both the interconnectedness and internal tensions within a system of beliefs and practices, and of the theological significance of religious statements. A specialised understanding of the interactions between religions and societies, both historically and in the contemporary world. An advanced and critical understanding of the complexity of different responses, and of the ways they have been shaped by beliefs and values, and conversely, how beliefs, sacred texts and art forms have been shaped by society and politics. An advanced understanding of both the interconnectedness and internal tensions within a system of beliefs and practices, and of the theological significance of religious statements. LEVEL 8 GRADUATES IN THEOLOGY AND RELIGIOUS STUDIES AT LEVEL 8 ARE An expert knowledge of a specific issue in the field of theology and/or religious studies. A highly informed knowledge of the broader area within which the subject of research lies. An expert knowledge of theories, methods and issues in relevant branches of theological and religious studies, or of other fields of study as appropriate to the topic of research. The ability to apply and evaluate in the most advanced way methods or methodologies used in the field The ability to analyse and evaluate theories which are established or at the cutting edge of the discipline. To present and disseminate the results of research in a clear and professional way. To advance knowledge and the field of research through discovery, innovation or redefinition of significant issues The ability to define research topics which can make a significant contribution to knowledge and debate in the areas of theology and religious studies. The ability to work autonomously, or collaboratively in the design, guidance and leading of projects
