16 OR 24 CENTER WOOD STUD INSTALLATION (VDM-2X1-WM) 1. Determine wall center location for mount and find center of stud closest to desired position on the wall and draw a 8 line. Locate the center of the second stud to the left or right of desired location 48 apart and draw a 8 line down the center of the second stud. (FIGURE A) 2. Using the wall mount (A), align top hole and mark the center of the mounting slot on the bottom of each of the two wall mount locations. (FIGURE C) FIGURE C 4. Locate the center of the second mount position 48 to the left or right of the first line and draw a 8 vertical line down the wall. (FIGURE F) 2. 16 OR 24 CENTER WOOD STUD INSTALLATION (VDM-3X1-WM) 1. Determine wall center location for mount and find center of stud closest to desired position on the wall and draw a 8 line. Locate the center of the second and third studs to the left or right of desired location 48 apart, total 96 and draw a 8 line down the center of the studs. (FIGURE L) 2. Using a straight edge and a level, place a center mark on each of the two studs which will be for the top mounting holes on the wall mount. TILT ADJUSTMENT 1. Tilt bracket (B) is designed with 20 full range adjustment or preset holes in 5 increments. If angle is already known set all tilt brackets to the preset angle by installing (2x) short pan head srews (K) into preset hole on each side of tilt bracket. (FIGURE Y) 2. Insert and tighten (2x) button head socket screws (L) into adjustment slots on both sides of bracket using hex key (U). (FIGURE Y) 3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for each tilt bracket. B NOTE: Extrusion removed for clarity. K L U Preset Tilt Holes NOTE: If angle is not known, assemble tilt bracket so extrusion is vertical. Once installation is complete, tilt angle can then be set. FLUSH DISPLAY MOUNT BRACKET INSTALLATION 1. Using supplied display mount screws,select the appropriate screw size and length ensuring screw does not bottom out in mounting hole, or damage to display may occur. If you feel resistance, stop immediately and try a shorter screw. If supplied screws are still too long, use supplied spacers to take up slack. (FIGURE Z) 2. Align display mount bracket (D) with mounting holes on the back of display. RECESSED OR RAISED BACK DISPLAY MOUNT BRACKET INSTALLATION 1. Using supplied display mount screws,select the appropriate screw size and length ensuring screw does not bottom out in mounting hole, or damage to display may occur. If you feel resistance, stop immediately and try a shorter screw. If supplied screws are still too long, use supplied spacers to take up slack. (FIGURE AA) 2. Align display mount bracket (D) with mounting holes on the back of display. Using (4x) display mount screws (M-A - M-K), (4x) combo washers (N) and (4x) spacers (P - R) to secure the display mount brackets to your display. HANGING DISPLAY 1. Tilt display and hook display bracket onto flange of tilt bracket (B). (FIGURE AB) 2.Push along the bottom of display until the mount clicks into place. (FIGURE AB) 3. To remove display from the extrusion, pull both release cord rings down while pulling bottom of display away from wall and lift display off flange of extrusion. (FIGURE AB) NOTE: When installing monitors on VDM-3X1-WM, start with the center display first before installing monitors on ends of extrusion. B Release Cord FIGURE AB Page 19
Micro Adjustments 1. If the display is uptilted, rotate the adjustment screws as shown in figure below using hex wrench (S). (FIGURE AC) S S FIGURE AC 2. Rotate the adjustment screws as shown below to make adjustments to align displays using hex wrench (S). (FIGURE AD) S S S FIGURE AD Page 20
FINAL ASSEMBLY 1. With extrusion evenly spaced between brackets, install button head socket screw (L) into back of each tilt bracket (B) (either left or right side of bracket) to secure extrusion in place using hex key (U). Install safety stops by sliding (2x) square nut (W) into front slots in extrusion as shown and install (2x) short pan head screw (V). Tighten both screws flush with end of extrusion. Repeat both ends. (FIGURE AF) 3. Install end cap (E) with (2x) flat head screw (F), both ends. (FIGURE AF) NOTE: If assembly needs to be tilted, follow Tilt Adjustment procedure on page 16. Cable Management 1. Insert the cable clamps (T) horizontally into the extrusion slots, then turn the cable clamps to the vertical to secure in place.
