materials alder smooth, straight-grained, medium hardwood that ranges in color pale pinkish-brown to light tan. exotic engineered veneer reconstituted common wood fiber engineered to reproduce the natural appearance of unique exotic wood species. maple strong, fine textured hardwood with a uniform grain and very subtle figure. Color is creamy white with a slight reddish brown tinge. bamboo straight grain orientation, characterized by distinctive growth nodes. The fibers are pressure heated to carmelize the material, resulting in a warm, light coffee color. black walnut medium density, mostly straight grained, but occasionally with wavy or curly grain. From this humble beginning, the Nickels reputation for quality cabinetry and reliable service began to grow. Out of the garage and into a small warehouse, Nickels continued to serve a growing base of local clients. After many years of careful planning, we moved the operation to our present location in Richmond, BC.
