First step... building automation The ZAMEL Company took its first steps in the field of building automation in 2006 by introducing the EXTA product group in its product offer. A product group created by Zamel designers. EXTA quickly gained the popularity and the favour of consumers and, in addition, it was awarded many prestigious awards. Second step... wireless control system The successes of EXTA group forced the ZAMEL engineers to work further on building automation, this time the goal to achieve was to create a Polish system to control devices without the need of placing the troublesome wiring. The unit is equipped with a LAN interface and is designed to be connected to WI-FI routers. It has two radio interfaces which allow for cooperation with both elements of EXTA FREE wireless system and with selected devices operating in the Z-Wave standard. The unit allows for a system control by means of mobile devices such as: tablets and smartphones (Android and ios systems). The control is also possible by means of a PC and a wide range of EXTA FREE transmitters. The MicroSD card, built-in the EXTA FREE CONTROLLER unit, is used to save all the configuration settings - this solution allows for a troublefree reproduction of all settings in case of a failure. Android and ios applications are designed in such a way so that the control and management of the entire system is intuitive and rapid. The applications are characterized by a friendly interface and easy use and configuration. T he proper selection of lighting has a positive influence on both the interior s aesthetics and comfort of people staying in it. There is no doubt, that the possibility of programming lighting scenes in accordance with user s individual requirements, is the most popular functionality of the system. EXTA FREE CONTROLLER in cooperation with appropriate EXTA FREE system receivers allows to control the traditional and LED lighting. Control is possible by means of mobile devices and EXTA FREE transmitters (radio remote control, push-button transmitter, etc.). Lighting can be controlled individually or in groups. In addition to the typical switch on / switch off functionality and luminous intensity adjustment, a user has a possibility to create individual lighting scenes and to programme time and logic functions. With relation to the above mentioned functions the lighting will switch on automatically according to the adjustments programmed by the user or when it is necessary. application possibilities TRANSMITTERS By means of this tab, a user can group all devices controlled by the EXTA FREE CONTROLLER unit. The graphic interface includes icons of surface mounted transmitters and EXTA FREE system remote controls. The virtual remote control configuration is also possible within the number of push-buttons defined by a user. This remote control allows to control selected devices in a short time. This application allows also to name the transmitters and the push-buttons. Additionally, the system allows to create convenient application icons on the desktop of mobile devices. HOME The grouping of all devices mounted in a building, in the EXTA FREE system can be carried out according to the following division level-room-device. Another solution is grouping devices by means of their type and application, e.g., lighting, roller blinds, heating, garden equipment. The names and icons are fully editable with a possibility to define own icons - device minatures and rooms. Clear design and ergonomic scroll bars make it easy to control the devices. SCENES This tab allows to define specific scenarios of events following one after another, or with specified intervals. Already a single click allows to realise the entire scene that consists of several sequences, and thus of many tasks. Each of the configured scenes can be named and added to a specific room in the DOM tab. The adjusted scenes are fully editable - it is possible to add / remove freely their elements. TIME FUNCTIONS The system user can also easily define the realisation time and even the number of repetitions for the adjusted events, sequences and scenes. Time functions allow for a full automation of selected processes in a building (e.g., lowering the roller blinds daily after 10:00 p.m. and switching on the lighting in a garden). LOGIC FUNCTIONS By using this tab, it is possible to define single events, sequences and scenes, which can be realised only if certain logic conditions defined by a user are fulfilled. These conditions may often be connected with values of parameters given by sensors operating in the system. The condition can also be realised by a pressing of the selected transmitter of the system. The functions can be either single or repeated depending on the date, time, day of the week. SENSORS This tab allows a user to add sensors operating within the system, to name them, to add appropriate icons and to configure the required adjustments. The application window displays the sensors status or value of a particular parameter. Sensors may be added individually or may be connected into larger groups, e.g., temperature sensors, lighting sensors, door opening sensors, flooding sensors, etc. DOOR PHONE SYSTEMS The EXTA FREE system can also be connected with access control devices such as door panels, video intercoms and even door bells. When pressing the push-button of an outdoor panel or video intercom or a doorbell, a user receives a sound message on his mobile device. Additionally, in case of door panels and video intercoms, a user by means of his smartphone can have a conversation or a video call with someone waiting at the gate entrance. GRAPHS The recording of all sensors mounted in a building, in the central unit of EXTA FREE CONTROLLER, allows for an analysis of their status and allows also for archiving of particular parameter values by means of a mobile application. Values of, e.g., temperature in each room or lighting flux intensity, can be saved in specified time intervals or in a defined time period. This functionality allows to track changes of the given value in time intervals chosen by a user (e.g., day, week, month). CONFIGURATION Configuration of the devices connected within EXTA FREE system is necessary, so that the devices can operate properly. This tab is used to enter all important adjustments for proper system operation. By means of this tab a user can e.g. define users accounts (adding / deleting), edit the menu layout (list / icons), enter basic network adjustments, as well as obtain information on the application and a current version of software installed in the EXTA FREE CONTROLLER unit.
