Lego Harry Potter: years 1-4 game guide introduction Welcome to my walkthrough. Tips and tricks -- Make sure to destroy everything you come across to get the True Wizard title. But if you didn t get it, don t worry. You still need to replay each stage minimum of twice anyway, and have to wait until the final year in this game to get all the collectibles, as you ll only learn the powerful Reducto spell in your fourth year. You can replay (Free Play mode) each stages anytime you want but I m strongly recommend that only DO this after you ve completed the Follow the Spider stage in your year 2. Follow my walkthrough carefully because I ll guide you on HOW TO DO A LITTLE TRICKS so that you ll be able to use Reducto and Dark Magic on your second year. Hooray! :) Your game will start with a long intro cutscene. 3
year 1-1: the MAgiC BEgiNS You ll begin this stage at The Leaky Cauldron and will initially in control of Harry. You can switch to Hagrid if you want. Collect Lego studs along the room edges then scramble around the room to collect remaining studs. Cast spell on the Green Hat wizard to make him move aside. Now you may collect blue stud behind the pillar. To get more studs, cast spell with the action button (H) or smash breakable items (marked with the green circle). Light up the candle to brake the table into pieces. Gryffindor Crest Fragment (red) -- Use Wingardium Leviosa on the pile of bricks to create a painting. Repeat the same steps on the second table at the other end. Once the crest appears, create a small ramp from the stools. Use the ramp to jump and get the crest fragment. Now aim the Wingardium Leviosa at the platform, wait for Harry to stand on it and lift him up. Switch to Harry, ascend to the top of the staircase. Grab the handle. Then, jump down and attach the handle on the door. Once again switch to Hagrid and use Wingardium Leviosa to open the door. Use magic to assemble the blocks and force open a new doorway to Diagon Alley. 4
Lego Harry Potter: years 1-4 game guide Slytherin Crest Fragment (green) -- approach the first window on the left then wave to the woman behind the window. Lift the barrel. Cast Wingardium Leviosa on the pile of bricks to create a cleaning machine. We ll need that machine, later. Switch to Harry, jump on the table with three bottles on it. Hagrid will lift the table, immediately jump on the awning to save the first Student in Peril. Play as Hagrid, now construct a springboard for Harry to jump on the awning along the left side. The purple Lego stud is worth 10,000 in value. Have your active character to pick up the spider on the web. You can only hold one item at a time. Switch to your other character to pick the flower on the table. This will save a lot of time especially in the other stages because not every items are located at the same area. Put both items in the cauldron. Now use Wingardium Leviosa on the ice-cream machine. Throw it into the cauldron. Before you proceed, use Harry to ride on the cleaning machine. Stand next to it then press K button. Hufflepuff Crest Fragment (yellow) -- Clean the dirt off of the street to get a crest fragment. Playing as Hagrid, pull the chain out of the wall to open the door. Enter the Gringott s Bank. Collect a bunch of blue Lego studs by sticking to the 5
half walls. Use Wingardium Leviosa on each of the burned-out bulbs. Fixing all eight will allow you to snag a purple stud. Construct a table from on the pile of bricks at the back of the bank. Switch to Harry, then jump on the tables. Wait for Hagrid to lift it up. Jump aside. If you smash all the breakable items you ve encounter, you should get the True Wizard title by now. Approach the goblin stationed in the middle of the Gringott s Bank then wave in front of him (J). After a short cutscene, you will take control of the goblin. As the Griphook the banker, now you can open the gate. Switch to Hagrid and pass through. You may collect more studs if you wish. Pull the chain by the wall to open the bars. Switch to Griphook again, open the safe to reveal a bunch of Lego stud pieces inside. As Hagrid, put the pieces together using Wingardium Leviosa. Wave to the painting then step inside for a brief cutscene. Use Griphook to open the vault chambers. Cast the Wingardium Leviosa magic on the chest. Construct a table that Harry can ride up to collect some valuable studs. Pull the chain, open the vault. Stepping inside triggers a cutscene. 6
Lego Harry Potter: years 1-4 game guide Once the cutscene s over, you ll be brought back to the Diagon Alley. Enter the shop when you re ready to proceed. 7
year 1-1: the MAgiC BEgiNS FrEE play It is strongly recommended to replay this stage after you ve completed the Year 2: Follow the Spiders stage. Use Lucius Malfoy or other evil character with Dark Magic. Destroy the silver padlock in the Gringott s Bank Ravenclaw Crest Fragment (blue) -- Have Hagrid character pull the chain. Character Token -- Open the right chest with Reducto magic to unlock Tom the Innkeeper. Character Token -- Blast the left chest to unlock Mr. Ollivander token. Character Token -- Use Reducto magic to open the chest in the vault to unlock Griphook token. 8
